As with ANY case involving copyright infringement; you're going to need to know concrete facts on BOTH sides of the argument. As with ANY accusation of wrongdoing; it's all too tempting to believe in whoever is wronged on face-value which can be dangerous. I'm not a fan of the Draconian levels of copyright protection that corporations have over their Intellect Properties (IP) which consequently can/will result in Zombie franchises & more worryingly creative stagnation. I can also see how protecting one's work from plagiarists is important but there's a danger this can be exploited maliciously (referred to the Marvin Gaye family suing Robin-Thicc for "Blurred Lines or The Rolling Stones with The Verve for 'Bittersweet Symphony') & with grifters looking to plagiarise with impunity via AI; it's going to be bleak days for individual creatives leaving their personal stamp on the work.

I call bullcrap. This happens ALL the time in Hollywood. All the scripts that pass through producers' offices, they're all bound to be similar, and I doubt every single one even so much as grazes against someone's eyeball. The facts are, this is a big company that has big money coming off of a big hit movie. A lot of the other things on the list art just petty. A character transforms into a bug? Really? That said, Antz was a game of chicken between Dreamworks and Disney. There's a great story there that I forgot the specifics of.
