They get used to people and how where there are people there is food, you know it starts with someone eating food dropping some and the wildlife see it and eat it. Then there's people who deliberately feed the wildlife and so over time the wildlife figure out people = food. The wildlife suffer for people's ignorance generally you know they have to call exterminators or they get overrun with rats which spread disease so people are not doing rats any favors by feeding them or taming the wild ones.

If you didn’t know this Disneyworld and Disneyland both have big rat/mouse problems so at night when everyone leaves they put out cats out to take care of the mouse/rats this was the first time I’ve seen this

Boy, that rat's been eatin' well, it was HUGE! Reminds me of a story my dad told me from before I was born. It was either in the late 1970's or the early 1980's. At the time, my parents were in Washington, DC (we still live in a DC suburb), and they were downtown looking at the cherry blossom trees (not sure if it was during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival or not). They were walking around the Tidal Basin, admiring the trees. There was another family there, parents and three kids (just asked my dad, and said he remembers it as one boy, two girls, ages around 3 to 8, he doesn't know for sure), and they see an animal swimming in the water. The mother says, "Oh, look at the cute little animal! Maybe if we're real quiet, it'll come closer!" One of the kids asks, "I wonder what it is?" And my dad says, "It's a RAT!" (and it really was a rat, even though it was a good distance away, both my parents knew it was a rat). He wasn't trying to be mean, or anything, he was trying to warn the family, but the way he told it, it came out as him trying to ruin a cute moment. The basic reaction from the family was an "EEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWW!!!!!" in unison. My parents stifled themselves until they were alone, and laughed a lot.
