I was there while they were filming that episode of Full House in the GF lobby. Got a picture with John Stamos and watched from the second floor looking down at them filming for about 3 hours. It was great!!

You might say those Egg displays were eggsquisid. On another note... There are some other fun details to note at the flo. There's a nice photo op with Cinderella's slipper on the upper floor of the lobby. Also by the grand staircase, there's a lot of nods to Cindy in the carpet, of note, her carriage.

Molly, I identify with you on "Feed the Birds". On my first trip to London, I went on my own pilgrimage to St. Paul's Cathedral, to sit on the steps where "the little old bird woman comes". It was such a wonderful moment.

The Grand Floridian is just the definition of luxuriating. I always visit this resort whenever I can, just for some of the fancy treat yo self vibes. I’m so happy y’all got to finally do a staycation here! It also reminds me of Full House all the time. Full House’s and Boy Meets World’s wdw episodes play in my head rent free whenever I’m in the parks anyway though lol

The room you were in is a “Resort Studio”. It is very similar to regular hotel room. The “Deluxe Studio” in the DVC building is a little different. It has one QS bed, a QS Murphy bed and a single pull down bed. It also has an extra shower.

It is DVC. It is a resort studio. They converted Big Pine Key to DVC.

Can't wait to stay here next month! Loved the tour and Old Key West behavior, lol. Alan pondering and vibing is hilarious. I love the color scheme, it's so gorgeous in here, they did such an amazing job renovating these rooms from that dated dreary Victoriana look to something brighter, modern but still luxurious.

My group and I had dinner at Citrico’s after taking a break at the MK and going back after. I would definitely recommend dressing nice but they were seemingly fine with me wearing black leggings and a logo free long sleeve shirt and others in my group wearing denim and shirts. David was our server and he was excellent! The salad with goat cheese and balsamic strawberries was freaking amazing and the beef short rib was just as good. David paired it with a great wine for me. Would absolutely recommend Citrico’s if anyone is looking for a slightly more upscale experience with great service and quality food. So happy you featured it!

Oh I was so happy to see this video! 😊. My very first trip to WDW I was fortunate to stay at the Grand when I was a travel agent. I stayed at some very nice hotels while I was a travel agent (The Broadmore in CO Springs) and by far, the Grand Floridian will always be my #1 favorite hotel. Hi from the uk here.some info on the hot cross bun. You can buy the standard bun all year round here but at Easter they are everywhere with loads of varieties including chocolate ones to buns with cheese in them. Cut in half,toast them and cover in butter OMG🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 the cross on top signifies the story of Christ which is why their mostly an Easter thing. Love the show,just read about a drone show at springs soon. Can’t wait for my trip in August x

I love the DVC resort studios and actually prefer them to the regular villas! They are beautifully done. I’ve stayed in them five times now and never had anything but perfection!

I agree with you about the Grand Floridian Band sadly being gone. I have a cd of their most-played songs, bought back in the 90s. I also miss the Grand Floridian Tea (with champagne option), as my friend, her daughter and I celebrated there back in 2000---such a lovely way to add to a vacation from bustling New York. Thank you for pointing out these much-needed perks, as they were the reason that the GF was the flagship of Walt Disney World resorts.

I went with my Dad (70) and my niece (21) and they absolutely loved this resort. We resort hopped but I made a special reservation to get that DELECTABLE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES on our Magic Kingdom day, and it was TO DIE FOR! My family enjoyed a late brunch after, like you said, rope dropping. Then we just walked around the stores a little bit after eating before returning to MK. It's stunning

Hot Cross buns are huge here in Australia. I think you'd like it a lot more if you ate it hot. Either in the oven or toasted. Then you slather them with butter. 🤤

Hot Cross Buns are available during Lent up to Easter. It is something that I grew up with as a Roman Catholic.
