Kermit tap dancing to "Happy Feet" is an absolute favorite.

🎶Happy feet. I got those happy feet. Give them a lowdown beat And they begin dancin’. I got those ten little tappin’ toes. And when they hear a tune, I can’t control My dancin’ heels to save my soles. Weary blues can’t get into my shoes Because my shoes refuse To ever grow weary. The funny thing is, before Steve performed Kermit, he was one of the frog advertising executives in Muppets Take Manhattan, and his character sounded sort of like his Kermit. Then it repeated itself with Matt performing Constantine, that film's Kermit doppelganger before performing the frog himself. Weird how that worked out.

Daryl-Rhys Taylor You have to look at the good luck they've had too! It's incredible that we still have them at all 30 years after Jim's death! The longevity says a lot!! And so many more successes than losses-- Muppet Xmas Carol is considered a holiday classic today. Muppet Treasure Island was one of the biggest earners of 1996. The Muppets was the best reviewed Muppet movie yet, with good box office, and even an Academy Award. Merchandise has not stopped yet for Muppets. Even the new Disney series Muppets Now is getting incredible reviews...critics love it! They tried with that very short-lived Muppet show on ABC, but it had to be cancelled after a few episode because it wasn't pulling numbers. I absolutely love the Muppets, but unfortunately it seems as though the same people campaigning for more Muppets, aren't actually tuning in to watch the newer shows. It always boils down to the fans complaining that the new stuff is "not as good as/will never be as good as The Muppet Show", and then the regular non-fans who aren't invested in the characters to begin with just not being interested in watching a show with puppets in it. But then people complain that they want more Dark Crystal, another Labyrinth movie, more Muppets, more Fraggles, yet ha/ve no interest in anything related to the Muppets or Jim Henson Company, so nothing happens with any of the properties. That's why the Muppets have been slowly being fazed out from the parks. The average Disney Park guest isn't interested in watching an outdated 3D Muppet movie from 1990/1991, or street show of the Muppets retelling American history, and Disney is listening to that feedback (be it unintentional or not) and quietly removing Muppet stuff to put in more MCU, Star Wars, and Disney Princess stuff because they know *that* is going to pull in more attention than Kermit and Co.

Y'know, for a guy who loves Kermit, you sure do remind me of Fozzie for some reason. I'm pretty sure he would give himself his own rimshaw. Joking aside, if not Walt Disney, Jim Henson will forever be my idle. His imaginative flair, his insane comedy, and his imaginative wonder makes him one of the best Storytellers of all time, pun intended. The best part about these stories and characters is that they appealed to everyone, regardless of age or background. Hollywood, as well as the rest of the world, could use more folks like him. Also, if you thought the evolution of Kermit was weird, try half the cast of Sesame Street or Gonzo. Our favorite stuntman once helped an evil wizard kidnap Santa Claus! Charityland was awesome, Kermit is a great choice. Back in middle school we had to sing Rainbow Connection in chorus. Love that song
