Wow. Radiator springs does look really nice in the rain. Everything reflects in the water and it gives it this even more realistic look to it. Rain seems very appropriate for Radiator Springs and the Diner-like vibe some of the buildings have. It is pretty funny that California gets into droughts on a regular basis, but it seems to always rain when you guys are there. I think the rain likes you and doesn't want to leave. Lol.

I don't think I've ever seen that Pixar play parade before! Pretty cool. I went to see the mad hatter's tea party show when I was there, and those guys were really great! I loved the 'mash up' songs they played. I only realised after the no doubt song that they were playing one or two local hits (I think no doubt are from Anaheim, for example…). The female singer kinda reminded me of Harley Quinn! Too bad about the rain :-( BUT how awesome does Radiator Springs neon look reflected in the rainy streets?!! Cool. Two questions I had: firstly, you didn't say whether you had luck getting an extended stay at the grand Californian… I'm assuming you did, but did you get a good deal on it? And secondly, you're right, universal is quite a schlep from Anaheim… How did you get up there and how long did it take? I'm assuming you guys weren't renting a car…?

I dont know who told you it never rains in california, It ALWAYS rains in california, and i live an hour from anaheim, and visit Disney a lot and it does rain there quite a bit too, maybe not as much as other ares.

+iiRedDarkAngel It always rains in California? Perhaps in San Francisco, but in SoCal it rarely rains. That is why it is a desert terrain. On average it rains maybe 20-30 days out of the entire year. I don't think that would be deemed as "always"
