I can't get over how bright the colors are in Peter Pan and Toad's Wild ride. I also enjoyed the Mark Twain. I can't say enough about the marching band. They are awesome. They look like they really enjoy their jobs. Is there a counterpart in Florida? I remember going on the Matterhorn at night and also during the day when you can see the tracks. It's like 2 different rides. Thanks again for the great Video and sharing. Your grilled cheese and tomato basil soup looked yummy.

Disneyland's Haunted Mansion looks so nice from the outside because Walt had said "We'll take care of the outside, the ghosts will take care of the inside." :) Also, all the plants they choose are to convey a morose atmosphere. Drooping plants, colors that hint at decay, lilies and of course the skunk grass planted right beside the skunk grave to give a little extra odor.

Re. Haunted Mansion, it's really funny to think that only a few years ago people were still campaigning to get the hatbox ghost back, and now he's back its like he never left!! :-)

Fun fact. The spider in the Mansion ballroom covers a bullet hole. In the primeval world you could see if the train was running, the hole is just there with no cover up. It's an interesting story about a crazy dude who shot up the park. The glass is one huge pane, so they decided not to replace it?

I miss Snow White's Scary Adventures at Disney World! I only got to ride it twice before it was replaced with Princess Fairytale Hall. The Mine Train is fun, though!

Fun fact: soon after the haunted mansion in Disneyland opened, a guest brought a BB gun (I think) into the mansion and decided to shoot it at the ballroom scene but they didn't know that there was glass there and it made a crack in the glass which is why they disguised it as a spider. It would've cost more money to fix it because they would've had to take the roof off of the haunted mansion to replace the glass!

+dancingangel95 The spare panes of glass are actually stored inside the mansion's show building. No need to remove the roof. The damage wasn't extensive enough to require a replacement, so a quick and amusing way to camouflage it was created. :)

Did you know that the haunted mansion in Disney World and Disneyland's stretching room's ceiling is made of scrim. Which means that when it's hit with light you can see the man being hanged.

Fun fact of the spider on the window :): it's actually there to cover up a bullet hole that is apart of a mystery of bullet holes throughout rides in the park. To this day I believe they still haven't figured out who did them or why they are there

+Rebecca Gallant Nope, Disney World had way more room than Disneyland, so at Disneyland they needed to put in an elevator so they guests could enter the ride under the train tracks. So the entrance of the ride is in front of the tracks and the actual ride it behind them. The long hallway with all the flashing pictures is the tunnel under the tracks.

Ya know, the Matterhorn kinda reminds me of Expedition Everest! Then I tried to compare animatronics and forgot EE's yeti has been broken for several years now. You think with all the extra money they're beginning to charge, they'd have enough money to fix it. I enjoy EE nonetheless, but you think WDW would've fixed it by now since the staple of the ride is the yeti :/

+SpookyNob95 They've been wanting to fix it like crazy, but it's a foundational issue that is (allegedly) going to require cutting a hole in the side of the mountain and taking the yeti and the track out to fix the foundation, which is a multi-month refurb, and since EE is AK's stable ride, they can't do it. When Pandora opens it'll take some pressure off Everest so it's rumored that's when it's going to finally happen.

It's in "B Mode" basically with the strobe, cause if it kept going the way it was if would have fallen on the track eventually, which probably wouldn't have been a good thing as far as roller coasters go, haha.

Does the haunted mansion ride have any drops in it or is it just a ride through the house? I've always wondered cause I'm terrified of drops and always wanted to go on that ride but I'm never sure

No drops at all. You can always ask a cast member at the start of the line what kind of ride it is to make sure you'll enjoy it. Also, don't be afraid to walk through the line and use the "chicken exit" just before getting loaded on to the ride! Disney is so detailed with everything, including the lines!! Expedition Everest is a great example of that, along with most of the rides in Fantasy Land. 😊

+Charlotte Whitworth Yep, no worries. Of course you can ALWAYS opt out of ANY ride. Nobody will make fun of you or even think anything of it. Just tell the people you're with you'll meet them at the exit and then ask a cast member to show you how to get out. You'll only be without your friends for 5-10 minutes at most. Take that time to do some browsing at the gift shop or take some more photos of things you'd likely walk right past (don't forget to use your time in line taking photos too, let people pass you by if it's taking you a bit longer to frame that photo just right, again nobody will look at you weird). There's SO much that people miss at Disney because they are so caught up in the excitement of getting on a ride, but if you know you don't have that pressure, you'll see things that will make your trip that much more memorable (and think of all the cool Instagram shots you'll have to share with your friends and family)! 😊
