As someone who worked at Walt Disney World, this is CRAZY to me, we’re so strict with dialects for friends of face characters, like I’ve seen some “friendships” end because of it. They’re also required to say portrait instead of photo which is baffling to me

Paris is so loose with accents. DL is very strict and they bring in an accent coach.

I love their accents! But I also love how their accents do not take away from the performance. They’re still very much their characters, you know? Except in Tiana’s case. The accent was a little jarring. I think because in the case of the other princesses, they are European/Asian. English would not be their first language and so thus, they’d have an accent. And likely, British vernacular since that is the version of English taught over in Europe. But Tiana is homegrown American. So it’s weird to not hear the Louisiana drawl.
