A third park would be cool, but one thing that makes Disneyland special is that it's small with two parks.

I do hope Disneyland Forward does involve a third gate, because it’s clear that both Disneyland and DCA will both run out of space to expand, plus the potential to host IP that wouldn’t fit in the park, mostly those from Fox, as well as plenty of space for the Avatar expansion.

It’s not DCA’s fault that the 3rd park was a bust. That was Bob’s botched Disneyland Paris parks fault. It started a cascade of failures.

Michael Eisner was in charge at the time Disneyland Paris (then Euro Disneyland) and DCA were launched - not Bob Iger.

When Disney’s California Adventure bomb 💣 after it’s opening of February 8, 2001 and it was quiet 🤫 they were looking for ways to make it less quiet 🤫, less as a bomb 💣 and draw more guests into the new park by adding new things as Disney’s Electrical Parade, A Bug’s Land/Flik’s Fun Fair and Tower of Terror

This is going to take a lot more than a couple of years... try 10 years at least if you look at the amount of time that it takes just to build one ride. they probably won't break ground until 2025 or 2026, and it'll be about 2028 until we get said attraction or land. Disneyland Forward will be a work in progress for many years, but there weren't really plans to have a third gate, these are expansions to Disneyland and California Adventure respectively on land that Disney already owns. The approval from the city of Anaheim was for the rezoning of this owned land because it would need to be designated as either attraction space or shops/restaurants instead of parking. So this will not be a third park, only expansion of the current footprint.

I think the 3rd park needs to be a fantasy version of the WestCOT park idea that DCA replaced. Make it themed to legends & myths from around the world

There still could be… Disneyland Forward could lead to that Toy Story lot becoming a 3rd park, after they build the new parking garage across Harbor.

I'm not saying a third gate is a bad idea... I just think that the toy story parking lot is a bit little for a third gate compared to both Disneyland and DCA.

How can it not work… the Toy Story lot is bigger than DCA.
