Hollywood is going through troubling times at the moment, all of their own making. The issue is they can't stop making it worse, making the mistake of mixing business with their personal feelings about their nation. This would be bad enough just from an international perspective, but when you are so misaligned with the audience, it gets even worse on a local level. But what if mixing them is the biggest mistake because no-one likes those ideas in stories. You can rationalise a national event like that for many reasons, regulations or taxes. But entertainment is different and is meant to satisfy on a more base, instinctual level, not necessarily a rational one. And Hollywood may have chosen a set of ideas, that satisfies no-one, even those who agree with them. But what do you think? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

@gregpaspatis9425 too sum it up. He said that celebrities don't see themselves as celebrities. They see themselves as voices. That he sees himself as a middle-class person, same as anyone from any middle-class city, and that because of his fame, he can be the voice for everyone below him. That the public judging celebrities based on their wealth and houses has a warped view of society and is actually the real problem, and that he can be our moral compass on what's right and wrong. I tried to attach a link to the video that I saw it on, but it keeps getting deleted

I don’t know if I’d call them monsters. They’re just thinking and saying in accordance with the rhetoric they’ve been exposed to for years. It’s like Billie Eillish. She’s young. Her current views are the result of the environment her parents have both helped and let her immerse herself in. I don’t think any of these big time actors meant to become disconnected. It’s just a result of getting into their profession and being drowned in the culture of it.

I remember seeing The Batman in theater a few years back, packed theater. I was sitting next to a young black woman who was there with a white guy, and when Catwoman started going on about rich old white men, I saw her out of the corner of my eye groan, cover her face in embarrassment, and heard her whisper "OH my fucking GOD" in disappointment. We go to the movies to ESCAPE real life bullshit, not to engage in it, and that's a pretty universal thought.

To be fair, unless unionized, the typical worker in the Hollywood industry works at least 12 hour days to sometimes up to 16 hour days, every day. Even the rich ones amongst them typically work at least 10 - 14 hours per day. [of course, their type of work isn't physicallly labourous if "merely" acting]

It's not even about their opinions. They don't HAVE opinions. None of this is about OPINIONS. It's about EMOTIONS. They've been lead to believe that their EMOTIONS are more important, than REALITY. And then other people that also believe their emotions are the most important thing, agree with those people and BREAK the way things are supposed to work because working is hard and boring and it doesn't make people FEEL all that happy, so they need to force companies to put catering to emotional children above making MONEY, which is their actual purpose.

That 'Avengers' Skype sesh or whatever, gave me the impression of a bunch of grownups playing dress-up games. Not cosplay. Dress-up with Barbie dolls and coloring books and Easy Bake ovens for snack time. The word 'cringe' is not impactful enough to describe that. 'Down with the democracy' it's pure and unfiltered irony. I knew like any other person with intelligence that the 'celebrities' are living in a bubble. The problem is, that bubble looks and smells like someone farted in a bathtub. I miss the times when celebrities, like the avengers, were seen for their successful roles and they just did their job. Not like this, where they think their voice matters in politics. At the end of the day, an endorsement is still just one person making one vote.

As an aside, Samuel is so whipped. He is the definition of "live long enough to be the villain" (along maybe Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, though I don't know if they as people were cool in their youth). From an iconic badass to an emasculated wreck and he's praising the ones who destroyed his image as a human being. I'm getting second-hand shame just from thinking about him.

You actually have to respect an actor to respect their endorsement and most people don't respect actors. We used to like the movies they made. Some of us are obsessed with their lives. But we don't respect them. They're not important people. They just play them on TV and in movies.

Doctor Stark can't save anything! Hiring him to be Doctor Doom was the dumbest thing they could have done. He's already Tony Stark. You only get one popular superhero. You can do two if the first one flopped. Just ask Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds! But if the first one is successful you don't get a second.
