There is a 2 hours of legal wait time at shippers when driver go for a pickup, Suppose If your pickup time is by 6am in morning, the legal wait time would be 8am. After 8am your detentions starts. Layover : Your pickup time was by 6am, you waited till 8am, your detention starts as i mentioned, but if you wait from 8am till 2pm (6 hours straight+ Including legal wait time) so after 2pm your detention converts into layover which is flat $250. Thanks.
