So, I have learned that I need more brooches because now I want a pretty brooch board! What a great project!

I love this. I did something similar but it was a way bigger pain because the frame wasn’t mean to be removable. Years ago I found a beat up cork board at a thrift store. I took it home and pried the cork out of the frame and hot glued some cute quilting cotton on it before carefully wedging the board back in the frame… I use it to store all my necklaces vertically by hanging them from wooden push pins! I also have some broaches pinned to it, as well as a few pairs of dangly ear rings I can’t actually wear. I love being able to see all my jewelry at a glance. I love how absolutely luxurious your broach board turned out! Using an actual picture frame is such a good idea… I agree that hot glue seems easier (not to mention less messy!) and faster too.

Love Laci Fay! This is beautiful and I like how the dark blue velvet lets those pins really shine!

Me too - she has great content! And thanks - when I saw that blue velvet in the stash, I knew it would be perfect for this.

All of my pins are hanging on a Disney 10K ribbon and it's destroying the ribbon, so I'm so glad I just caught this video! Such a great idea and a really cute way for us to display our pins as artwork and storage LOL

Thank you! If you're talking about Disney pins (or anything with a short straight pin back), I actually have a completely different pin board method for those, though - let me know if you want that info!

I use something very similar to display all my jewellery - some cheap, stiff tulle wrapped over a canvas stretcher. Makes putting earring on it very simple, and if you leave a little slack, brooches are easy to put on.

I love this idea and it came out very well! I think it looks beautiful on the wall. I love brooches and have some from my Grandmothers as well. I have hat pins from then too and I think I may make one of these boards for each category. I watched your CoCoVid contributions and they were great! I wasn't able to watch all of the ones I wanted on their debut date, so I have been trying to catch up on them this week. I have had a great time watching all of these and learned alot. Thank you so much for taking the time to make the videos for all of us to learn from. It was great!!

I put jewelry that belonged to my great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and my husband’s mother and grandmother in an early 20th century oval frame with convex glass. I don’t wear jewelry so I’m not worried about taking the back off to get to the jewelry.

I feel you on the messy sewing room. This was cute. Neat video :) Do you have any advice on improving the ease of putting on the pins?
@LadyRebeccaFashions4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've only worn a couple of them since I made the board, but other than the fact that I hung it on a kind of awkward location above my dresser, they seem to be coming out/going back in to the board ok. I'm thinking maybe it was just me struggling to do all of them at once?
@rebeccaburch48374 жыл бұрын
I did a similar type of project using foam core board. That way I just stick the pin into the foam and that stick pretty well.

@@LadyRebeccaFashions Yeah, I'm not a big broch person, so probably wont make myself one. I think I'm more likely to use a glue gun, seeing that's the one I have.

So literally was driving back from the thrift store and found this video and did not buy a frame I did find a 1940s type dress little more fitted and 1950s one that I will wear with a petticoat and of course more brooches and most likely gay guy behind the counter kept bringing out more brooches that I loved so I ended up buying for when I was only gonna get one ☝️ leaf 🍁 🍂 Oh and this huge pearl necklace with a big gold leaf blowing on the center of it.
