Strangely, most CCTV DVR/NVRs still don't support DisplayPort, while many monitors only support DP and not HDMI. This can be a costly headache as I recently found out.

DisplayPort trends to be used with computers and HDMI with entertainment systems. Hopefully we will see used more for CCTV DVR etc
