“Дисплей - Робот супер-человек, directly translated to English as "Display - the Robot Super Human", is the re-release of a Soviet Disco hit by Ukrainian label Baran Records. It features an exclusive "found in the attic" instrumental demo of Робот given to the label by Vadim Latschuks family.
Дисплей (Display) was formed in Kiev by multyinstrumentalist Vadim Latschuk, a graduate from Kiev musical college and skilled studio musician in 1985. The same year its debut album "Волна перемен" ("The wave of chages" ) was released. Next year the band took part in first Kiev rock-festival debut and was aired on Soviet Ukrainian TV. After touring the band went on as a studio collective consisting of Latschuk and his wife Ellen.
The song "Ночь" ("The night", 1988) became a huge hit and was covered by several Soviet artists among whom was Sofia Rotaru. In 1990 the third and the last album was released. Later on Latschuk tried to seek success abroad in poland and Hungary but didn't managed to and came back to Kiev. He has already died though there's no information about the exact date. This particular song ("Robot super man") bacame the first techno pop song in the USSR.
Nowadays the band is generally known for the football club Dynamo Kyiv anthem first released in 1988.

A: Since this is an archive of MY collection, i believe i should preserve everything (even the flaws). If you are looking for a place for high fidelity “audiophile” clean recordings, this channel is not it. I clean my records thoroughly before making a video.

A: I upload what i have, and what i deem worth uploading. This excludes widly known records (Beatles as an eksample) and releases from huge labels that i evaluate as too risky for copyright reasons.

Q: What are the recording specs?
A: All audio is recorded via USB out of my Dual DTJ 301.1 with an Audio Technica AT3600L cart to my Macbook Pro (2016) via Ableton. Audio is 192khz 24bit uncompressed wav. Video runs at 60fps with a 1080p resolution and has no audio.
Video editing is in Imovie and recorded with an Iphone 8.
Q: Are any of your recordings edited?
A: No. I do adjust volume if necessary but other then that the recordings are 100% unedited.
