“ Komachi is the second Album released by the impeccable Métron records newcomer Daisuke Fujita, also know as 冥丁 (Meitei). Made as a soothing tribute to his grandmother, one of the few who according to Fujita still had an understanding of the "traditional Japaneese ambiance", a concept which the artist himself describes as "the lost japaneese mood". A haunting, dark, minimal yet relaxed mood, often very hazy and lofi, consisting mostly of looping phrases layered with carefully planned and very complexe field recordings. Being heavily inspired by traditional music like Gagaku and the technical sampling finesse of Susumu Yokota, Fujitas aproache to ambient music is a fairly unique and special blend of old and new. Mixing recordings of water with granulated sound bits and recording everything to tape for the broken warmth of faulty analog equipment. Blending modern bumbeling cityskapes with tranquil gardens and springs, letting the mind wander about in a trancelike state, exploring what time has forgotten long ago..."

Q: Why did you upload a terrible sounding copy?
A: Since this is an archive of MY collection, i believe i should preserve everything (even the flaws). If you are looking for a place for high fidelity “audiophile” clean recordings, this channel is not it. I clean my records thoroughly before making a video.
Q: Can you upload [insert album]?
A: I upload what i have, and what i deem worth uploading. This excludes widly known records (Beatles as an eksample) and releases from huge labels that i evaluate as too risky for copyright reasons.
Q: Can i see what’s in your collection?
A: Sure!

Q: What are the recording specs?
A: All audio is recorded via USB out of my Dual DTJ 301.1 with an Audio Technica AT3600L cart to my Macbook Pro (2016) via Ableton. Audio is 192khz 24bit uncompressed wav. Video runs at 60fps with a 1080p resolution and has no audio.
Video editing is in Imovie and recorded with an Iphone 8.
Q: Are any of your recordings edited?
A: No. I do adjust volume if necessary but other then that the recordings are 100% unedited.
