We're no better here in the US. When California can run 8 week long mail in ballot elections, Georgia and AZ can stop counting votes on election night and then continue to count mail in votes until the Democrat pull ahead.

and then fast-forward to 2024, where opposition candidates try to get on the Democrat ballot for a Primary and are thrown under the Democrat Party bus, only for the de facto "winner" of the Primary to hand off his "win" to his running mate. A running mate who was such a loser in a previous Primary election she had to drop out having received virtually no support whatsoever. And this, from the Party that claims their opposition is "a threat to democracy." Now, what happens if Trump hands off the ticket to Vance, and then Harris hands off the ticket to her running mate, and so-on? I can see this being a future tactic of either party, now that the precedent is set. The legitimacy of the US elections was eviscerated in 2020, and now it's just gone.
