Completely obvious what the problem is. The vast majority of these are red card dangerous play violations and the referees give them yellow cards at worst, thereby encouraging the behavior.

You should try refereeing. It really opens your eyes to how brutal and vengeful the women's game is. The men's game is probably more physical, but less violent. And the women will hold grudges. You can have a perfectly normal game, and then out of nowhere a fight breaks out over something that happened 3 years ago.
