I thought this was a rimworld mod at first! Seems like a fun twist on the genre ,but I do wish the artstyle wasnt so extremely simular to rimworld .

Thanks! We were actually going for a more sketchy take on Prison Architect, but Rimworld also looks like PA so we referenced that sometimes too.

gonna be honest i thought this was a rimwolrd ripoff but now this is an actual colony simulator i hope this game succeeds in development because it's actually interesting to see what the game is like

This seems so so so dope. I hope it gives a lot of freedoms, as well as ideas and suggestions for how to plan and organize your colony. Maybe some in-game library of political, 'utopic' ideologies to read up on and try out. I'm so hyped for this.

I see some potential here. I’d like to know more about what we as the player get to affect/control. It seemed like we just picked the government system and then just observe.

You can select a colonist to play as so you'll actually live out their life in the society you designed. The colonists will ask you to do various things and in the process of achieving goals you will get more hands on with how the society works. There's also a character creation system that plays a big part in the game. For example, it could be that one type of society works well with certain types of people but not with others. I could go on for a while, but in short, yes there are lots of goals for the player to achieve.

looks very interesting and i really like the epmhasis on politics! hope there'll be a flexible system to create your own policies and new ideologies/systems added over time

If i may : buildings seems to lack a little diversity in design. The last "zoom out" could be far better with different structure/building. Even if textures are all the same, because it looks like the same building fonction (housing i guess) differents layout might be enough to do the trick. But good luck for that game, im broke tbh so do not count on me sorry but ill put it in my wishlist as im currently playing rimworld.

Get Yayo on your team. It looks like you're trying to make a more political/social version of Rimworld, but in semantics, those kind of subjets are considered more humane. Yayo is THE Rimworld modder who worked on making the game appear more humane.

Yeah, that's one way of describing it! Believe it or not but I didn't start playing Rimworld until recently so I'm not familiar with Yayo or the modding scene. I'll have to check their stuff out! Thanks for the heads up.

Looks really interesting. Will different play styles (socialist, technocrat, fascist) be equally playable and viable options or does the game push you to certain paths?

Thanks! Great question! The main focus of the game is to compare different societies by achieving various goals. Each society has different pros and cons, so the difficulty of each goal changes based on your design. So yes, they're all playable, but some things may be easier or harder to do and require different strategies to pull off.

I feel like u should do a bit more to distance urself from RimWorld. sure, focus on systems that rn't in RW like politics and large-scale economics (probably) does make this game its own thing rather than a rip-off, but first impressions matter! and it's not a good first impression when the graphics, the menu, and the trait system that r all depicted in screenshots look dangerously close to a more popular game. I wish u luck in developing smth unique (as long as it stays, well, unique), but pls be more mindful of designs u put on ur front page
