Thank you for your compassion and the help you give me, to enjoy more this very beautiful temporary existence of change. where I forget myself, though seemingly, conceptually, I’m traveling around the sun on a living magic show I which I’m designed to sleep too much through. Bless you James for your gentle nudges to awake up. Chris

The most basic, simple experience of meditation reveals to us that the content of our mind is ever shifting and so the idea that we'll get the one true concept, we'll suddenly understand and know, we'll have the golden key that will illuminate the meaning of life, this is probably an illusion - James Low

The key issue is not to come to conclusions. Every full stop needs to become a comma. Whenever you sum someone up, whenever you define people, 'they're like that', then you put a wee tail on the full stop, 'for me', 'when I last saw them', 'as far as I can tell'. The world gets much softer doesn't it. Because you've now made your definite statements about that person into something relational - James Low

I think this is the same talk featured in Sam Harris' Waking Up app, "Everything as it is" by James Low.

The function in the meditation practice is always to relax and allow the movement of events to go without entering into your commentarial self. The ego or our individual consciousness exists as a commentator.; elaborating storylines, judgement, opinions, trying to intervene and organise the flow of experience - James Low

Wow, if separate nations are insane, Tibet must have been the most insane nation on earth, as it was notorious for being Forbidden to all visitors 😂

I guess they didn’t learn much from all that dzogchen

@@antoinedoinel153 It was forbidden by Qing and British to maintain the political status quo in later period. Other than that tibet was open for all. For instance there used to be centuries old trade relation and exchange between Tibet and Nepal, Bhutan, China, Mongolia, east turkistan, Indian region of Ladakh, kashmir, Asaam, Sikkim, himalchal, uttarakhand etc with religious background of all buddhist, Muslim and hindus.

@@Xi_Jong_Un trade is not accepting immigration of foreigners. If you don’t understand that Tibet was forbidden, read the autobiographies of Alexandra David Neel. Progressive liberals are incapable of truly understanding or appreciating foreign cultures.
