In this video I share my experience with dpdr and what I've seen after working with thousands of people healing from DPDR. I share there four simple premises that can be helpful to finally allow DPDR to dissolve.
1. Our body and mind has the best-inbuilt healing system.
2. Our body sends us signals that get louder when we ignore them.
3. Understanding predictable symptoms helps us leave it alone and leaving them alone is the best because we have the best inbuilt healing system!
4. We’re always living in the feeling of our thinking and that’s not a problem because thought flows all on it’s own.

I love that you’re talking about this. It’s not talked about enough. I struggled from this when I was my sickest with chronic illness. It was HORRIFYING & I felt so alone. Not only are you relatable and beautiful but you have such a warm way of explaining everything. I’m now going back to school in the fall and am really looking to study more on biology esp how food effects the brain 🧠 I’m so glad you had a great time in Europe! Making beautiful memories is priceless esp after going through anxiety 🙏♥️

Omg the city being different is relatable. I felt safer in nature and could not go to airports or malls. This is all so relatable. 🙏

Omg i have the same thoughts to what if im like my.mum who suffered with panic, agrophobia, dizziness between 20-45 to various degrees. I was an outgoing happy child and adolescent but was always told anxiety will ruin your life and make you miss out on your kids experiences etc so i feared it. Forward to 10 years ago t being 40 i pulled my back and was so worried about it as it wouldnt heal that i became anxious. Then the oh no ive let it in and now im doomed started. I had therapy and over time got back to a reasonable level. Then 5 years later at start of perimenopause i started with lots of physical symptoms that i worried about and that worried me as to why i was worrying so much. Then i had a panic attack which started the really high anxiety. I was so overwhelmed i left my work as i associated panic with my place of work. I went on meds. Its been a rollercoaster for last 7 years of hormones, symptoms, fear etc but i still thinking deep down this ingrained fear rooted from my mum( her sister to had severe anxiety) that it fuels the fear. It so hard trying to change or look at a 51 year belief that has been passed down. Im working on it daily and.trying to educate myself on anxiety and menopause as everything seems heightened at this time of life to. So thankyou for sharing your story as it makes others feel a comfort it knowing its not just them going through this.

so what do you do about the constant want to check in with how real you feel
@Zamoxi

you acknowledge it then leave it alone. The loop is constant because you think you have to keep doing it. Internally your brain is scanning for danger and thats why you constantly check in. By allowing the checking to happen without digging deeper into it, it slowly starts to fade. It takes a long time though and its just practice. Whenever you tell yourself, "am I real?" "is that real?" you are tricking your own brain into a stress response. That stress response is whats causing the symptoms of DPDR. You become hyperaware of everything because the adrenaline is now in your blood stream. Just let it all be... There is no deeper meaning to it at all besides your body is responding to a fear that you have. You remove the fear by getting comfortable in DPDR and understanding that its a normal bodily function and that is it. There is no hidden layer to it or like there's something else wrong with you.

@@Zamoxi Thank you for this comment. Didnt see it till today but just from this video alone im damn near fully recovered. When I had that thought, I told myself not one thing is different and nothing changed other than the way your brain is processing fear. I became comfortable with the feeling just due to the fact I completely understood what it was and didn't fear dpdr any longer and let it pass. I was a huge overthinker and when I let the anxious thoughts be without further interaction is when recovery really started. I "suffered" ( in quotations bc i was the one prolonging my experience with further overthinking instead of letting it run its course) for 2 months and in just a mere few weeks im back to normal.

@@notjaybtw6608 Im very proud of you for recognizing it was just you prolonging it and nothing else. Take this knowledge with you and help others if you can. Awesome job friend!

@@Zamoxi been doing great lately thank you for your words of encouragement, sometimes I think though like would these tools fly out the window and can they stop working ( acceptance and not fearing, also not engaging with negative thoughts )

@@notjaybtw6608 it's so comforting seeing that it shifted quickly for you! Mine's been chronic for months and I've learned what it is/understand that it's my body protecting me but i keep checking for it. Like Lily says in the video is it really just a case of accepting things as they are and just going about your day not giving it energy?
