Thanks for this eye opening video. The depth of understanding the wedge swing in contrast to the full swing is amazing. I often had heard that better golfers prefer loew aunching spinner with a draw also for shorter wedge shots. Would this be in your EGS a soft full swing with forward rib sway and faster rotation without this ulneral component in the release ? Or is this a quite different shot ?
@elitegolfschools5 ай бұрын
@@Schnoberich so sorry man I want to make sure I’m answering this question correctly and I’m not quite understanding what you’re asking. Can you ask that in a different way please?

My question is how You would recommend to play this shot in the Elite Golf Sytem, because You or Riley have often new and interesting approaches. If You teach this shot, I would appreciate to know how. I hope this os clearer now.

Awesome distinction between full technique and distance wedges technique. What is the path and face to path of wedges as you move up say from 15y high and neutral to 85y neutral? Is it always out to in path for spinners and in to out for chasers? Also how does path match up with release, like low hands, high, radial or more ulnar through the hit? Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
@elitegolfschools6 ай бұрын
Great question! Can absolutely hit spinners with either path however there are levels to it. A lot of draw spinners that we see are due to left path with lie angle (D plane) that may be slightly upright. That is due to handle low through the strike. We prefer a very neutral set up and move through the strike to begin and then adjust set up principles to adjust ball flight… for the most part 😉

Boys I need your help here. I just watched this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHTamq1_idqUfs0. Where Alex and Riley talk about distance wedges, rhythm and speed of the chest being slow and the most important thing I got from that video other than that was holding the MASSIVE hinge in the wrists while motoring the entire complex without changing the angle of the wrists. (Look at that video at 6 min exactly.) In this video it's almost the exact opposite. When I got on the range and started to feel this video (i started practicing this method first) The radial load and ulner unload seems like it's happening wayyy before I hit the bottom out as I'm moving my chest up and away. This seems like the exact opposite of the Alex video. What do I do? Which one do I practice?
@elitegolfschools4 ай бұрын
@@Zach_Routhier great question!! They are very different systems no doubt.. The Alex and Riley video is a Lee Trevino type distance wedge action and can definitely be applied. It will produce a low launch high spin shot compared to the video discussed here. This video that resembles Homa, J Day, Sricker will produce a mid flight, mid spin shot. Just spectrums of movement/technique. We just finished filming our short game masterclass that will go into great detail on this if you are interested. Should be launching within the month 🙏🙏
