i come back to this video so often. i grew up in a small midwestern town, and both of my grandmothers lived outside of the city. no matter where i went, i couldn't escape the crickets and the distant train horn. it reminds me of sleeping at my grandmother's house who was particularly outside of city limits; all that's missing is the ticking clock from her living room. she passed September 2023, and it was the last time i slept in that house after visiting to see her one last time from San Diego.

@katelynbarnes550 you've just described how I felt at my granny's house every time I stayed over.. there was a train track above the back bedroom I would sleep in. I'm 43 now and I still sleep with the covers over my head because of the ghost train noises I thought were happening. I'm now simultaneously haunted yet comforted by asmr like this

Living in Virginia, I crave the sounds of crickets and Katydids (in the distance 😂) and night trains. Depending on where I have moved or the time of year, I may not hear them together or as consistently as you have compiled this. This reminds me of when I was a boy,and use to sleep in the backyard in a tent with my best friends Listing to a transistor radio, with songs like Louie Louie, or the Four Seasons playing in the background, and best of all listening to trains in the distance.

I just got back from NY stood in Apt very close to the Botanical Gardens and there are Trains that pass through there that takes you to Manhattan. I love the train sounds when going to sleep .

@@Stayintru I grew up right around that neighborhood. On Webster ave they used to have the 3rd avenue el, and the subway trains used to go right down Webster ave so you would have both MYC Subway trains and the MTA railroad right there.
