Branded Fusion is UR because it is very consistent in 1st/2nd turn without search. The moments when my opponent didn't have Branded Fusion in early turn is when my opponent didn't play Branded cards.

Everybody's talking about banning Branded cards, and I'm just glad none of you are in charge of the ban list. Guy in the video drew the nuts hand and baited the Ash. If it weren't for that, Branded Fusion would've been negated and it would be game over. Seriously though, Branded Despia is extremely susceptible to *every one* of the most popular handtraps. Control deck players seething that sometimes Despia players get to play around them, and now they're demanding that a competitively non-viable deck (in the TCG and OCG) be straight up banned. I can't wait for Sprights and Tears to drop. That'll give the people something to *actually* complain about. tl:dr, YGO players are toxic.

I was thinking about the shortcomings of Best-of-1 just now, and it occurred to me that Konami could solve a lot of problems if each player had something like this. A 10-12 card filter, chosen and changeable at any time you’re between games, that if the game detects you’ve been matched against a deck that includes a copy of one or more of your Filtered Cards, the other player gets a “Your opponent’s Filter has detected [Insert Card], and they have Withdrawn” No legacy packs/gems, no +1 to your win streak. The game is a wash. This way, players could pick a key card contained in the decks they really despise, and not have their fun ruined by oppressive shit. If enough players kept a card on filter beyond a certain time-threshold, it’d be a red flag for Konami the card probably needs a hit. I mean, I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t immediately Filter Skill Drain, Eldlich, Empen, Branded in Red, etc. I mean, if you walked into your local game store not on a Locals-night, and saw someone you know tends to play Stun decks during the tournaments, would you sit down and play a Match against them, if they refused to answer when you asked if they were playing anything like their regular tourney deck? I wouldn’t. Why then should a player have to scoop to decks they hate?

It’s crazy how you can play branded with anything and it works out. I literally made a Branded Gaia deck since Gaia works well with the dark monsters and it works out pretty well. The only problem is the chance to brick hard and not being able to disrupt your opponents board. Other than that, the deck is pretty cool to use if you want to have a good time.

Floowandereeze isn’t poorly designed, Master Duel is. Konami developed a game with the intention of having best-of-1 matches, but balanced it using the same logic they use for balancing the TCG/OCG. As far as I’m concerned they’re not only different formats, they may as well be a completely different card game. I don’t think Yugioh would have lasted 25 years if it had single-elimination games. There’s a reason Master Duel has been hemorrhaging players since day one. Floodgates are extremely unbalanced in this game and something needs to be done about it. Over the past month or so since Floo received Advent of Adventure I’ve gone from playing this game for 4+ hours per day to maybe 4 games total per day and even those have mostly been miserable to play, assuming I even get to “play” at all. It’s not entirely Floo’s fault or anything. Floodgates have been an issue since the beginning in one form or another, it just feels like everyone currently playing the game has suddenly come to the conclusion that floodgates are practically the only viable way to play it anymore. If they ever release Mystic Mine I will never pick this game up again. I know Master Duel has become every Yugioh KZbinr’s bread and butter, but I wish more people would call attention to this instead of pretending it’s enjoyable.

branded doesnt realy do anything other decks cant. but compared with other decks like swordsoul and floo they end up with one or maybe 2 disruptions on board and not 5 while playing on the opponents turn through 5 hand traps and negates. just earlier i played against ignister and the guy ended on 5300 accesscode on his second turn after i ashed and nibiru´d him turn 1 then used designator and mirrorjade to disrupt him on his next turn. i still won but i doubt despia/branded can play through 4 disruptions like its nothing.

@@kratospwns241 yugioh is usually a best of 3 game, the side deck are a group of cards you can put in your deck in between games to counter your opponent's deck, they are situational cards you wouldn't use unless you are in a specific match, you can't do that in master duel, which makes some decks unfair because you might not have anything that can beat your opponent

Branded retribution is a way to recycle the fusions back into extra deck but I mostly use it as a way to get my branded spells back from gy. My branded deck isn’t like super busted. It’s almost exactly just 3 copies of the Albaz strike precon cuz that’s all I have in irl yugioh as a magic the gathering player. I bought 3 copies of aluber and opening, I happened to have 3 copies of the light - hex sealed fusion(which is the combo I use instead of other more broken shit), and on master duel I swapped 3x Belle for 3x ash. I don’t play any quick spells besides opening, I don’t play any despia besides aluber. Extra deck is 3x mirrorjade, 3x Albion, 3x Lubellion, 2x sprind, 2x brigand, and 2x titaniklad My main combo is branded fusion to summon Albion using FoA and the light hex sealed fusion, then banish the light hex sealed fusion AS FoA and FoA as a dark monster to summon Lubellion, then shuffle Lubellion and the banished FoA for mirrorjade, then can send one of the other 3 fusions to get springans kitt or tri-brigade mercourier cuz hand trap. My only interactions are 3x retribution, 1x judgement, 3x veiler, 3x mercourier, 3x ash. I have Kitt and Aluber to search for Lost or Fusion. 3x light hex, 3x FoA, 3x main deck Albion. If I get the right cards in hand I can put 8k to 9800 atk on board in one turn with 1 removal… Purposefully not top tier branded because even that in paper is kinda busted and that’s basically the deck I have irl but on master duel. My other master duel deck is Dragunity otk cuz I played yugioh 10+ years ago and double attack with 4000atk against a banished board consistently.

If you're worried about the mirror jade you can banish it face down, creature steal it xyz summon or return to hand/deck. All it can do is banish itself and it will lose the board wipe.

Just save ash for the fusion, branded lost is not that uncommon and the branded in high spirits engine is a good replacement for the patchwork engine. He didn't even open the field spell to put a masquerade on field on top of everything else, so it wasn't the ceiling for the deck. An ash, a countertrap and a called by the grave is an insane hand for beating despia and you just choked. Using ash on a shaddoll dump to grave is not the play when you have a called by the grave on whatever they send, or ash on the next effect

Going on their history in this game (and especially in DL), they like to put nice cards at very low rarity so they can easily ban them without upsetting too many people. Branded is a board breaker. There isn't much that a good built one won'tbreak, especially since you got branded lost to play, which is a ridiculously powerful card that can say f u btch you can't respond and I will draw a card and if your ash don't go through then you are most likely done for.
