This why I'm on an MD break lol Lab with near infinite recursion playing in the draw phase looping D barrier, setting appointers, and imperms from the deck lovely hand popping turn 1 and 2 Kash with Diablosis legal Tear not having kelbek, scheiren, merrli, and havnis limited in exchange for keeping Kitkalos Too much bull to build around for best of one with no sides. Are we supposed to play 30 card decks with 3x Ash, 3x Maxx, 2x Red Reboot, 2x CBTG in every one of them? This format literally pushed me to TCG and free simulators over Master Duel. A blessing in disguise truly.

Coder out here marketing his video titles to 70% of players who quit in 2014. What I hate about pend: It went from an entire mechanic to a single deck. Instead of looking at individual decks (Performapal, Odd Eyes, Magician, Endemyion, Mythical beast etc) we pretty much just collectively look at every card and mash them into a deck bc its the optimal way to make them work... Up until Vaylantz there was almost 0 individual identity.

We had Qli, Igknights and Dinomist ealry on as standalone decks (if we exclude Pepe pile which sees a play even today) also Endymion is its own thing but most good pend decks are just pile of good pend cards usually you're right about that

This is just not true. It's just how Trif plays them and he's the most popular content creator that plays Pends. I don't even think Trif's decks are usually very good. Most actually decent pend decks I see are a mashup of maybe 2 or 3 archetypes at most, which is no different than any other deck out there right now (e.g. Runick Fur Hire Spright). Endymion/Mythical Beast is usually played by itself and not with other pends. Vaylantz can be its own thing. Dracoslayers will run engine from other decks but still very much have a core identity. Igknights are a viable deck now with Infernobles. Supreme King will be its own thing soon. D/D/D clearly has its own identity. Superheavies are an incredible pendulum engine but also have their own playstyle. Trif plays pendulum pile, but I don't think that's the most popular way to play Pendulums, and I also don't think it's very good. It just makes for cool replays. In practice it's bad imo. Anyone who says "Pendulum is just one deck" has never met anyone who plays pendulum

Pendulum is my favorite mechanic, I faced that Vaylantz field myself so I understand the frustration of being effectively FTK'd. This puts a bad rep on Vaylantz since they're not floodgate turbo like whatever this FTK bozo did.

Simply by summoning it in the proper way aka using the appropriate materials and the appropriate type of summoning. Every extra deck Monster that is counted as non properly summoned was brought out of the extra deck in other ways, for example sent to grave by milling effects (maximus, alba loa, etc.) or cheated out (summoned by other card effects). Also an extra deck Monster whose summon was negated Is not considered properly summoned. Should be all

You mean like a combined type one like Zarc in the anime? Monster is level 8, 10, or 12. Have 2 monsters on the field of level 4, 5, or 6. One is a tuner. Have a spell card like Harmonic Resonance - Synchro Fusion that performs all 3 types of summon at once or something.

I mean vaylantz is a bad example of pendulum. Be honest, spright is a pendulum deck. It just doesnt require scales but it should. They didnt do that because they know pendulums suck since the MR changes, only Pend magician can keep up. And pend magician isnt the pendulum mechanic.

@@AntigoneX9 i'm currently only playing Secret Village and Majester Paladin, the Ascending Dracoslayer instead of Gallant Granite, so i can summon Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer from Extra Deck without having to Pend summon it, Gear Gigant X and Gizmek Naganaki, the Sunrise Signaler work too, the Gizmek let's you tribute Vaylantz Genesis Grand Duke to summon out Vaylantz Dominator Duke from deck, and can also recover any Machine banished for Small World. Basically what i'm trying to do, is ending on Dominator Duke + Hojo/Saion + Arktos XII and Secret Village (if ending with Saion, i leave up Shinra Bansho on opponents field to protect from Lightning Storm, Evenly, Imperm etc). Usually summoning Mamonaka isn't worth it, because it requires 3 materials, unless you use your Pend scales, so by using Dominator Duke and Hojo, i can swap them with Arktos on my opponents turn, stealing one of my opponents monsters and then using it as fusion Material for Mamonaka, because Dominator Duke turns it into a Vaylantz 👍

Metaphys Decoy Dragon only one I use and that's just because making metaphys horus with it and saying 'gimme that big untargetable asshole you have' never fails to be funny. Plus it kinda is how you get most of the other metaphys effects off, they swing in, decoy banishes, procs the trap, procs whatever metaphys it summons out.
