while playing for dark i had seen 75% dark decks. people quickly have realized that 20 years of only printing dark type monsters makes every other attribute ass in comparison

Light comes close but it isn't quite there yet. It doesn't help that many of the better Chaos monsters are all DARK Attribute.

Light has insanely good cards too, Drytron for example is light and the Herald rituals too. But dark just has more than light.

@@MarioLopez-xs3vc The best light decks i can think of are all "Rogue" strats, such as cyber dragon, cipher/photon, exorcister. Sure there are some strong non-archetypal lights, but i can't for the life of me think of a "great" light only engine. (please someone tell me about one that i can build a deck around). Meanwhile dark attribute or majority dark attribute are nearly constantly on the tierlist.

The event has its flaws but it's going places, for sure. There was a moment early on that I decided to play with Light until I lost two matches and I ended up sleeping in the next morning because of a dumb 23 Win Streak. I was playing Drytron but actually pure, no Herald Rituals or anything cringe like that, just Meteonis Beatdown. Now Dark is another story, I'm tanking some losses with Pure Predaplants but it's always a joy to play them, especially when Dragostapelia is legal.

Rusty is literally dark auroradon. Instead of ending on 3 omnis you end on 2 fog blade and a DPE which is arguably better.

personally I went for dark law and mask change 2, instead of DPE, to banish, hand rip, pairs well with rex once you're around 1k LP or lower

This event sucks for the sole reason that Light decks that are playable can be counted on one hand. The Extra Deck options for Light are so restrictive it is like playing a sealed format versus gimped Meta decks. Konami even had the gall to weaken Exosister by limiting Pax.

I noticed a funny one the other day. I was playing drytron with Draconids on the field. The other guy used Verte to do super poly and couldn't target Draconids because it had become a monster effect and he couldn't target him with monster effects.
