This is a small compilation of my GO-TO railfan spots in the Tampa area. Places where I know I'll catch something, if I go at the right time.
Scanner Frequencies you’ll need:
160.590 This is the business channel in the area. Road channel for all of Tampa, Plant City, Lakeland.
161.100 - Road Channel for AZA Line, Brooksville, Clearwater Subs.
160.230 The JF Dispatch Channel. Listen closely here. This will tell you what trains are moving and where. For the Tampa area, Plant City and Lakeland south of Lakeland Junction
160.920 - Dispatch Channel for A Line from Lakeland to Kissimmee and S-Line route from Lakeland Junction to Baldwin Yard.
161.520 - Auburndale Sub Dispatch from Auburndale to West Palm.

Great video. Really enjoyable. I work on collins st in plant city. Train activity all day. I enjoy taking a break when they come through. Something really relaxing about train watching. Thanks for the video.

Video railfan guides are something the community desperately needs, and this is a shining example. Maybe I’ll start doing these for the northeast, depending on how well received this is.

@@jameschristiansson3137 I do provide narrated insight in my regular railfanning video trips. However localized guides based on a subdivison/city would use collective footage.

Danny, if you’re ever back in Ft Pierce highlighting the new Brightline 110 mph service or FEC, stop by Moonswiners BBQ at the junction of State Road 70 and Okeechobee Rd. They’ve been around for more than 60 years, rebuilt after a massive fire gutted the restaurant couple years ago and has been a staple for fantastic BBQ for us locals for years. We drive an hour South from our home in Brevard all the time for a quick lunch or dinner with friends…it’s just that good

Hi Danny! I am so glad that I recently discovered your Channel. I have been hired as a Conductor for one of our nation's Class 1 railroads and I was searching KZbin for some instructional Conductor videos when your page came up. Besides being enjoyable videos, I find that I learn much watching your quality presentations. I will begin my Conductor's training in another week. I will be 500 miles from home but I know it will be time well spent as I am absolutely determined to pass the exams at the end of my training weeks and become the very best Conductor that I can be. Both my lovely wife and I are quite excited at what lies ahead just 'around the bend'. Thank you so much for all you have taught me. And your positive, upbeat spirit is both uplifting and encouraging. My very best to you always sir. God bless! Rickey

The railfan "Timesaver" game was developed in the 1970's, and is now a game ap. Deliberately difficult switching challenges are presented. Delivering three cars in a small yard with the minimum number of moves is the objective. Switching assignments get trickier, almost seeming impossible.

Mr Harmon You have a terrific channel, and it’s easily one of the consistently best railfanning channels on KZbin. I am really glad I found you just over a year ago when I was getting ready to move to Orlando from the Seattle area after retiring from Federal service. I spent quite a few years in the Pacific Northwest and had a lot of favorite railfanning spots scoped out all over that region, but I know next to nothing about railroading in the Southeast and especially Florida so I was despairing that I’d need to spend several years of random wandering just to find the best places to catch trains. This video and your channel overall have been a tremendous boon to my gaining a quick understanding of the hot spots around these parts and I’m very appreciative! It’s a bonus that you’re a fellow BBQ fan and your reviews of local eateries are great. I can’t wait to put all the new knowledge I’m gaining from your channel to the test as I range out from my home in Orlando to find trains to watch and photograph and great BBQ to partake of. If I happen to see you out and about I’ll be sure to say high and thank you in person. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Rob Shaw.

I used to live on the A line in Orlando back when we had Q170 and 177 and when Taft yard had decent traffic. Your videos helped me learn about the S line and the tampa area once SunRail screwed up all A line traffic. Now I live in Memphis and occasionally we have those new siemens Amtrak locomotives on the city of New Orleans. I live in between the CN and CSX lines there so I can bounce between the two and see a lot of stuff I’d never see in Orlando or bushnell

I was just thinking today about how you haven't uploaded in awhile and then BAM a new video! Nice rundown on some neat areas, eventually I'll make it to Florida for trains but probably not this year, though your coverage has done much of the state justice. Also congrats, someone shared with me a segment from FOX 13 that covered your career highlights. It was neat to hear about your accomplishments outside of the train community.

Danny I just recently found your channel and I’ll tell your brother is one of the most professionally produced productions I’ve ever seen in it to unlike a lot of other train videos. It never seems to get boring you don’t dwell on just endlessly letting out of 200 car free train. You show me the whole thing I don’t need to see the whole thingand your information is always seems to be very accurate. I really appreciate your efforts her brother best to you Mark McConaughy.

2:00 That is a great view of the tracks. I like the water underneath and the converging tracks in the distance. Wonderful video work. In fact, I did a short video capture of the flyover along the tracks. 13:00 Virtual Railfan has a remote camera here on a 24-hour loop so you can scroll through the dead time until you spot a train coming through. Of course, it doesn't have the great narration from Danny. 15:40 The last time I rode the Silver Star from Miami to Sebring, we broke down just south of Okeechobee. I decided to get some food while we were waiting. I had just gotten my food and glanced out the window as I turned around and we were moving. The engineer pulled away so smoothly that it was impossible to feel any movement. I would have sworn we were still stationary. Thanks for a very informative and enjoyable video. The inclusion of the radio scanner frequencies is a nice and considerate touch.
