My friend's dad was obsessed with Segal in the late 90s, to the point that he suggested that my friend dress up as Segal for his senior picture -- ponytail, gold chain, muscle shirt, cheesy sunglasses, you name it. When he showed it to me during our Physics class I said "whatever you do DO NOT show this to anyone else for the rest of your life, destroy every copy of this picture" but he kept showing it off and being shocked that people didn't think it was cool 🤣

There is some grade A shushing in a flick called The Big Hit. I am mostly decensitized to violence myself and that movie is a really fun, 90s heist film with Mark Wahlburg and the gem that is Lou Diamond Phillips , but there is this one shushing scene that is so disturbing and such an abrupt tonal shift , that it has prevented me from recommending the movie to anyone or rewatching it for years.

what's crazy about Segal is he's still making Movies even though he seems like he can barely move anymore. but he's probably in his 60s now so it kind of makes sense.

There was a blooper I caught while watching this movie. It's when Casey Ryback shot Dane's laptop. The walkie yalkie on it was blown to pieces with a hole in the laptop. But afterwards, when Dane fell out the train window, you see the walkoe talkoe is back in tact and no hole in the laptop.

When this movie came out you could've put Steven Seagal's Casey Ryback character up against Humphrey Bogart's Rick Blaine from Casablanca or Clark Gable's Rhett Butler from Gone with the Wind and you would find Steven Seagal's Casey Ryback would narrowly beat those other 2 in screen presence and gravitas brought to the roll... Mostly because the other 2 guys were dead when this movie came out. But that's still something.

That character is not Steamboat Willy from by the radar station. Steamboat has a regular army (Heer) uniform, while the soldier killing Mellish has a Waffen SS uniform and says, "Give up, you don't stand a chance! Let's just end this here! It'll be easier for you, much easier. You'll see it'll be over quick."

The first time I watched a Seagal movie (Hard to Kill) I think I was like 15 and had only ever seen what he looked like after his career became a punchline. Only knew the title at that point and nothing else and spent an embarrassingly long time thinking Seagal was that guy that plays Stabler in SVU. When I found out it was Seagal, it suddenly made sense why my dad laughed at him so much.
@exbronco2 жыл бұрын
He sort of flips a 3rd and a 4th guy. the 3rd guy runs downstairs. Seagal twists his arm and throws him into a wall. then he breaks both his wrists and kicks him in the face. he does the same throw move on the guy he kills right before the Penn fight.

Hardest slow death scene to watch: Smokin Aces: When Pasquale "The Plague" Acosta kills the security guard & tells him to close his eyes so he can get into heaven. Runner up: (in a different light) Tombstone: Morgan dying on the pool table while Wyatt tries to calm him down.

The worst I mean WORST example of someone trying to calm someone before killing them is the one fat dude. Baby face something in THE WIRE. Gets killed in an abandoned home by Chris and Snoop. He even walks to the house with them. Half crying the whole time and pleading. It's gut wrenching.
