Hi Jennifer ~ First I have to say how touched I am by the kindness of your action in creating these cards for educators in a local school that had been obscenely vandalized. THIS is one of the reasons we love you to pieces. (My children went to private school N-4th Grades and the first day of public school my son came home & cried because he just couldn't believe that people didn't like others because of their skin color, the way they spoke, their religion, etc. That was a proud Mommy -Moment because, as parents, it meant we were doing something right with our kids!). Finally, your cards are stunning and today is the day I'm pulling out my new Oxide inks so your timing is impeccable (for me!). LOVE your examples on so many different colors and types of cardstock. You took the guesswork out for the rest of us. My MISTI Creative Corners are still on b/o but it'll still be fun to play. ~BIG HUGS~ #kindnessmatters

I also wanted to add my appreciation and admiration to you taking the time to let the teaching staff how supportive you are. I worked as the Principal's Secretary in an elementary school for 20 years. Parents and others rarely understand what all the staff of an elementary school truly do to support and care for their students. A huge percentage of teachers are there because they love kids and get a tremendous amount of joy seeing children light up when they learn something new! They spend large amounts of they're own money to make sure that kids have what they need, especially in this era of dwindling school budgets. That you are touched by all of this means so much to these staff members. Your constant kindness is such a gift to so many!

I had not heard about the cruelty to the school in Cincinnati. It is shameful. Yet, Jennifer, you are a shining light of kindness and love to those faculty and students whose lives and hearts have been effected by this. Love heals. Love uplifts. Kindness warms and comforts. Really good of you to bless them with tangible acts of these virtues. Beautiful cards, and even more beautiful is the love you put into them. Thank you for the lesson!

You are a wonderful person! It's interesting how you worked the new inks and the results are very beautiful. I do love the look of the bleeding, especially in the first card you showed at the end. I also love the perlescent paper, Neenah Paper has one that's called Stardream. Perhaps it's that one you have. Here in Germany I would say Fedrigoni (Sirio or Merida Pearl) and Arjowiggins (Curious Metallics) have the best perlescent papers . Best of luck finding it again! I love working with those kind of beautiful papers.
