@FaanvuGein CynicalAssassin I used to raid back in Wrath using a dell reject laptop the college got super cheap with integrated graphics. Granted there was an issue with certain screen effects like when I had a debuff you had to keep running and drop an effect on the ground... would make my entire screen go grey except the minimal and UI. That was interesting, but point is you don't need much more than a toaster and an internet connection to play WoW.

I picked 10,000 fists back in middle school in the mid 2000s. First metal album I ever bought. Maybe it was the awkward teen in a middle of nowhere school, but Disturbed has always resonated with me. This whole album takes me back to hearing it all the first time.

I listened to the sickness song and stupify when they debut on MTV, then I never really heard anything from them except the covers and a few other songs here and there. Here I was twenty plus years later, and a few years ago when they released sound of silence, I was like "HOLY SHIT, WHAT A FUCKING VOICE!! THIS MANS A BEAST!!" So I then looked up "disturbed full discography" on KZbin and downloaded the entire playlist. Needless to say I've been listening to their entire discography for the last four or five years or more. Literally EVERY SINGLE song listenable and MOST of them are absolutely fucking AMAZING and INSANELY UNDERRATED! This has to be one of if not THE best band ever. One thing that strikes me about the song is this: when Ann sings "How can I let you go?", and the subito forte kicks in, anyone else think it's going to bridge with Evanescence "Wake Me Up"? It is a calmer song like Overburdened, but it has a way different sound, Overburdened perfectly conveyed the hopelessness of a man waiting for his fate in Hell, but this sounds like Darkness if it had wings.

Impeccable timing once again Disturbed. Back in 2018, I went through a breakup, and shortly afterwards Disturbed came out with "Stronger On Your Own" that perfectly described what I was going through. Now, it looks like a rocky, on again-off again relationship is finally ending, and Disturbed comes out with this song, once again perfectly describing what I'm going through.

I love this song, and I think its a tribute to Arthas, the visuals as well as the lyrics. When you know his story, the clip leaves little doubt, with snowy/ice visual theme, the sword is absolutely frostmourne (even glowing blue if you had doubts), and put into the ice like sindragosa's summoning in woltk trailer as some other comments pointed out. You can even see what would be Northrend, the entrance to the cavern where he found frostmourne (we even dive into the cavern later). As for the lyrics, I can be wrong but I see it as a letter (or thoughts), fom Arthas to Jaina. The first lines would take place either on the bridge before stratholme culling "we know we should turn back... cant help but cause more pain" also "wounded with every word... am i supposed to let you go" would reference the argument they have and jaina turning back and parting ways with him. Also it could be his thoughts while sailing to Northrend after the culling (the visuals could be him staring in the snowy sky on the boat), knowing he should turn back. Then we travel through the clouds, could be to illustrate that his journey leads to his destiny, frostmourne, where the lyrics are absolutely beautiful in this part... "i still hear the screams that would tear apart our world" coul reference shadowlands with jailer who teared the reality between realms... or just the burning legion if you retcon SL (which I would if I were blizzard). "I keep reliving everything... I cant believe how much this hurts"... the feels here, the dude did nothing wrong... my King! :'l I think its directed to Jaina because of the other "love lyrics", especially "i cant live without you". He's also kinda apologizing to her, asking her to not hate him for wanting to do the right thing, for not letting go on his own people (spoiler she did not, she still loved him). Also the "here we are once again questioning the end", I interpret that as the ends Arthas went (culling, frostmourne) to save his kingdom, which Jaina disagreed with. You could also say that he's questionning the end that blizzard gave him in Shadowlands, but oh well... Also I think its a beautiful tribute because a lot of people, myself included, discovered disturbed through Wow pvp videos back then (especially down with the sickness). Well that was too long and i'm not sure anyone cares, and I could be completely wrong, but i'm loving it and wanted to share!

I love the whole album, it's my favorite Disturbed by far and this is absolutely my favorite track on it. The power from the vocals and the message just hits home. I suggest these guys need to make a music video for this song, because it's without question a hit.
