Disturbed has a number of really good covers. Shout 2000 is also good as is, obviously, The Sound of Silence. But yeah, they also have a ton of good music. The first time I ever heard them was "Stupify" on the radio when driving to work one day. After work, I went and bought the CD. I've been a fan ever since. Down With The Sickness still rocks.

I was five when the video for the original came out (1986). The weird puppets and Superman Reagan are permanently seared into my memory.

I was the same age and have never forgotten watching it for the first time. The puppets freaked me out a bit but I still loved it. My dad was a if Genesis fan so it was on a lot in our house. I really like this cover but the original still does it for me.

David Draiman...a voice to die for! A powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to rasp/distortion/vocal fry and back on a dime.....which is difficult as hell to do and he makes it sound so damn easy. He has a timbre in his voice that I've never heard before.....just hauntingly beautiful and pure tonal properties to it, especially evident in SOS. An awesome talent and obvious training to deliver what he does!! Can sing like an angel or the devil ! Loved your reaction and your take on this song Office Blokes! Try "Deceiver", "The Night", "Indestructible", "The Light", "Violence Fetish" and "Enough" by Disturbed too.

Starting in their third album, (the one this song was in,) they slowly started adding more and more solos. It took the whole band a few years to convince the guitarist to go for it.

Disturbed actually have quite a few songs with guitar solos, off the top of my mind "Perfect Insanity", "Divide", and "Stricken" being awesome songs with solos. Some of my favourite Disturbed songs are The Game, Droppin' Plates, Decadence, Divide, Criminal, Remember, and Mistress.

This is one of those times where people like to argue which is better and I'm like... Fuck off with that they're both damn good and their videos are both super cool and creative. I love both and I listen to both. I'd love to see more Disturbed reactions because there's so many different styles of songs they do. Sure Down With The Sickness is what they're known for and everyone loves to request that song because of how popular it is for them. However it's far from their best so I hope if you do more Disturbed it's something like The Light, The Night, Hold On To Memories, A Reason To Fight, Indestructible... Okay I could go on forever but you get the point.

Something to add to the ever-growing laundry list of things to react to... Back in December, the band Beyond the Black was challenged with learning and performing four very different metal songs from four very different bands. Oh yeah, they also performed them acoustically (or close enough for government work.) So what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Nothing. But, one of the songs that they were challenged with was Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness". So now that you've reacted to two performances of Disturbed doing covers, now it's time to do a reaction to someone else covering Disturbed. It's only fair. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZvde4Sso9OEi6c Side note: Whenever I recommend this or any of the other three songs/performances, I watch all four of them again...in order. To remind myself of how cool the performances are/were.

its harder, more distorted (intentionally), louder, they changed the bass line a lot, and david's vocal style is different from phil's. but to answer "its not that much different is it?" they left the melody unchanged, and the chord progression , as well as the tempo. its harder but not any faster. these are the similarities that jump out at you.

of your opening card slate - only Office Bloke Mike is represented well. because he isn't doing anything. even he's exaggerated though, as he never smiles. [he should be _wincing..._ or grimacing] Daz is the MOST exaggerated, by far. He'd be more accurately represented by being just sat there, a look of bemusement on his face. and then poor Dave just isn't represented at all by his caricature, which seems to be offended and/or scared at everything. maybe that's how he really is, but I don't actually know the channel _that_ well. I have yet to see any of that though. He just seems to be your typical Irish bloke to me. (the most relatable out of the bunch, tbh)
