The problem with all these senior citizens running the country is that they were born, grew up and had their prime years multiple generations ago. Some of them are legislating on things that not only do they require someone 1/3 their age to explain to them, but that even AFTER that explanation they don't know what they are dealing with. Like young people can obviously advocate for and care about the elderly but we also can't really understand what its like to be 70-80 and the issues that come with it anywhere close to people that are going through it. It should work the same from both ends-if one has to wait until they are 18 years old to be even able to get a job at a political office (or the right to vote for that matter), same should go for the tail end, e.g. life expectancy - 18 years, so for the USofA - 77 - 18 == 59. Sure, most people in their 60s are perfectly cognizant but the issue is not just about the ability to do the work, it's also about who suffers the consequences. You can't be making decisions that will affect people for decades to come if you're only going to live a few more years, period.

If you parent didn't even put in the effort to teach you important life skills like driving, or getting your id or getting a job, etc, that can seem even more like a hurdle trying to leave. Not epilepsy, just standard acute fainting issues and management techniques. Does that mean I think it's more likely to be their excuse of lightheadedness than epilepsy? Nope, I think they're using that the symptoms have similarities, but that's also why I don't think we should try to give a specific diagnosis based on so little information... cause I think most of us with chronic health conditions come to hate "oh, I know those symptoms, you should get tested for ".

I mean, "children" means a lot of things, what age are we talking? Based on context, and the way she phrased things, it def sounded messed up. I give her zero benefit of the doubt. But as a general theme, I don't think it is abusive by default to not give a child privacy in all circumstances? Then again, I am not and will not become a parent for a lot of reasons. And maybe the term I am looking for is toddler or something, I don't know what the age ranges are. But basically, I am thinking that there is a certain range of ages, where it would be wise to always be able to keep an eye on your kid and ensure you know everything that they are up to... And then after that certain, young age, you don't have to be overbearing, but you should still have a good idea of what they are thinking about, and how they are doing. Thankfully if you don't have compelling reason to feel they are not to be trusted alone in their bedroom, for example, all you need to do is obviously ensure there are not knives in their room, etc. and they can spend some time alone in there. You can always knock now and then on their door for verbal confirmation that they are okay, and let them know that if they would like to, they can talk to you about anything, if something is wrong. Not that a desire for privacy implies something IS wrong! Heh, I am just sharing my honest thoughts, I hope I don't sound like a complete monster. At least I said I will never have children, though? I really, really will not. When it comes to others in my life, I am highly respectful of others' autonomy, and privacy.

That woman is disgusting. As an adult if you forget your lunch that you thought you took, you probably just buy something to sustain yourself. The kid doesn't have that luxury. As a parent you take care of that child and protect them while teaching them important lessons while they're growing. Brains don't even fully develop until your 20's so what is she trying to teach? Nothing. It's neglect and hatred. Sounds like that woman didn't get the support she was supposed to as a child and is taking it out on her kid that she has no feelings toward apparently.
@mohammedal-saad7795 Жыл бұрын
Well, in the vid she said that the kid actually said they packed the lunch, so either the kid lied or they actually forgot, in both instances the kid didn't pack their lunch as they claimed, so I assume the mother wanted to teach them responsibility. In any case, the kid won't die if they missed one lunch so it's blown out of proportion, they will learn from this instance and never forget in future. If people want to pick on the mother it shouldn't be this case, this case makes logical sense, people need to pick other cases against the mother because this case isn't really that "abusive", it's teaching responsibilities and a small consequence out of it

What that woman said about kids having privacy is exactly what my parents said to me. I grew up believing that I had no personal possessions, only things my parents allowed me to use. Even my room was not mine. They would search my room frequently going through drawers and closets. They went through my journals, my camera, phone, and my sketchbook. I had to fight to keep drawings that they thought were too dark. They would strip search me and try to find if I had cut myself or even drawn on my skin in pen. I turned to drugs and alcohol to deal with the stress of being in that home. They, too, are Mormom. At 28, I'm almost 5 years sober and still deal with the resulting distrust in other people. I have so much fear around sharing any sort of genuine emotion or work of art. If I were able, I would not have a relationship with my parents for a long period of time. That is just overkill for him playing a prank on a sibling (unless that sibling was seriously injured and that doesn't seem to be the case). And not allowing your child to eat makes it harder for them to concentrate in class. MAYBE I could understand making them go without lunch if they're always forgetting things (but even then, I'd be more inclined to getting them checked out on why they're so forgetful than to make them miss a meal. You save that, such as going to bed without dinner, when they've done something truly severe...like they've misbehaved in class or cussed at you or someone else). You don't let kids go hungry in the middle of school. I don't like the parenting style of practically hazing your children, like that's how you make them "tough". As someone with neuro issues, I understand what it feels like to lose control of your body. It sucks when your mind works great, but you have no balance, or have fainting or black out spells. What Mitch went through seems way more serious than “being a little light headed.” When I used to have my blackout spells, I was still able to talk during them and right before the ones where I went unconscious for a split second. I was able to tell the people around me I was about to black out and that they might need to catch me or help me down to the floor. I would lose complete control over my limbs, not just stand there frozen. I have fallen almost flat on my face before during one. My knees buckled, I fell and my head slid down the wall I was leaning up against. I didn’t have anyone around to assist me and I didn’t want to fall on my face. I can feel when these attacks are coming on. My heart will suddenly beat really fast, my face will feel numb and tingling like it went to sleep, and then everything starts to sound like it’s under water. I know to get somewhere safe in those few seconds or ask for help because the next thing to go will be my vision and then control over my body. I can black out and still be conscious of what’s going on around me and still talk. Just not be able to move until it passes. The only time I saw anyone do something like what Mitch did was my friend’s son that was having a seizure. He completely froze in place and stood there for a few seconds to a minute, then went about whatever he was doing. The guy is not well and it irritates me that they aren’t more open with his condition, especially if he holds such an important office. I wasn’t able to drive when I was in the worst of my neuro issues, so I don’t know how he can help run a country.

First, no chance, they have SUCH a healthy relationship(And shes a healthy and fiesty little lesbian who couldn't be less interested in penis, and if one got near her by god the WORLD would know it for her rage). Second, my friend was going to doctors to try to figure out why it was literally impossible for him to have any sort of libido during the time of this "occurrence". He had to be put on testosterone months later after the conclusive tests said he would need to in order to ever be interested in sex again. CPS still had to take time to investigate him though. What a fucking joke some people are, just reporting...anything. Then serious reports get ignored while they deal with this absolute bullshit.

Sadly, such is the issue of limited resources/man power.
