The craziest thing is that this was filmed on 35mm film. The footage you are seeing is not developed, and 35mm film is the most expensive and highest quality film out there. This means that in some vault somewhere, there is 1080p HD footage of this entire incident (because they needed to develop the film to present to the jury). Absolutely messed up.

More Twilight Zone "trivia": - Vic Morrow feared dying in a helicopter crash. He avoided flying in them, hated them. He thought he'd be in one when it crashed, not it happening this way but still, it gives me chills. -John Landis has a son, Max. Max is a misogynist and sexual predator. He was accused by ex-girlfriends and co-workers of SA, "horrific, inhumane things", gaslighting, r*pe, physical and psychological abuse, and more. His response was to reject a comparison to Bill Cosby bc he "isn't a celebrity" but "some of what's been said about me is true". The apple didn't fall far from the tree. - an anecdote I have no proof of but is pretty funny if true- A worker in Beverly Hills rang out Landis. Also in line was the always quick with a quip Larry King. Landis was mocking King for a time he'd been arrested in the past. As Landis left, King replied (not quietly either) "At least I didn't kill anybody." Shout out to the late Larry King. He always was a straight shooter. I've seen the close-up footage- skip it. It's... a lot.

We need commercial accidents ever since this series began! Also, one of the few exceptions to Landis' downward spiral after the Twilight Zone incident is Michael Jackson's Thriller. Hell, if it wasn't for Resident Evil with the character of Wesker(as well as a Rezzie based reimagining of the music video by KZbin channel HappyWesker), and the opening to the France level when a French militia were possessed in Bayonetta 3, I wouldn't have rediscovered the iconic music video, in addition to the notoriety of Thriller being known as the first example of nightmare fuel in pop music. I've heard of many people traumatized by either the scenes where we see MJ as a werecat and zombie both in the beginning, halfway mark before the dance scene, and towards the end, so it kinda counts.

The child actors were lucky because the animatronic could have fallen over due to the malfunction, which could have easily injured or killed them.

They were filming a fake crash, but due to the lights not being shut off on time they were blinded and actually crashed the plane. You might mention this in the next installation, but Sonja Davis died while doing a stunt in the movie Vampire In Brooklyn; she was supposed to do a backward fall from 42-feet in the air (I think it was an apartment building, but it might've been an office building), but performed it a bit too soon....Like Renee's mom, in the Twilight Zone movie, Davis' family was also there when her stunt was to be filmed; they saw her fall to her death that day. To quote Kurt Russell from the Stargate movie: "No one should ever have to outlive their own child." And Michael Massee, the actor whose character shot Eric & inadvertently caused Brandon Lee's death, was extremely upset about the incident; he took a year-long sabbatical from acting after it happened (he himself died in 2016 from cancer). Apparently, he wasn't even supposed to handle the gun, but Alex Proyas, the director, changed that part of the script the day of the scene's shooting.

The lore associated with the Twilight Zone Movie is very well known in my circle because we all know what happened since we had all seen the movie several times. If you go back and watch the twilight zone movie now, the third installment in the movie is about the little boy who could make whatever he want appear. If you watch the characters in that particular episode you'll notice that they all seem to be held hostage by that little boy on account of the powers he has. If you pay close attention, there's a part where hes talking about a sister of his. According to Anthony, he had banished his real sister, because she would yell at him all the time and so his punishment to her was to remove her mouth. Shortly after, there's a part in the film that shows her watching television without a mouth. I believe that this part in that story was the biggest inspiration behind the newer movie Skinnymarink. I could be wrong, but if you watch both of them now that theyre availableto be viewed consecutively, you'll notice that the film style and animation in Skinnymarink are very, very similar those of Twilight Zone. I'd definitely live to hear if anyone happens across those two films and sees the similarities.

The Crow is honestly my favorite film of all time and Brandon's death just makes the film that much more impactful. It would have been a fantastic movie whether he died or not, but the circumstances of his death made an already macabre film even more so. That's why I firmly believe The Crow is one of the few films in Hollywood that cannot be remade, it's perfect as is and it would be quite insulting to Brandon Lee's legacy to try and do better. I would also argue Brandon Lee's role as Eric Draven is by far one of the most career-defining roles to exist, if he would not have been killed, he would have been one of the biggest stars of the nineties due to his performance. Lastly, I would say his casting is one of the best casting decisions in comic book film history, right up there with JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson and Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, they could not have picked a better person to be Eric Draven. Rest in peace.

14:07 that reminds me a lot of James Cameron. Now the guys crazy and a complete dick, who does this exact thing in all of his movies. But the difference between him and every other director is that he puts himself at risk as well with his production team. For example, in Terminator 2, there is a chase scene where a helicopter flies into a tunnel, and its one of the coolest things Ive ever seen. Every single cameraman refused to record that scene, because they would basically have to film with a helicopter mere feet away from them. Rather than scapping the idea, James Cameron volunteered and recorded the entire take himself. Absolutely insane.

Brandon lee didn't take a bullet to the chest. He took it near the belly button. He fell forward instead of backwards and that's how they knew something was wrong. They didn't fire a primer cap either. They shot an actual bullet. THe round go stuck in the barrel. Hey loaded another charge and it launched the dummy round like a bullet

I heard they died by the cash but, I'm not sure it's the truth. You could see the clip on KZbin. Heads up it's disturbing.
