You know what would've fixed the 'Riya not having enough gems, hole in Ally's bag' problem? If instead, at some point, there was a scene where, let's say Yul since he needs the money, noticed Allly's bag slipped off, and switched them. Another thing they could have done differently is, since the incident with the scorpions took place, Krystal decides that instead the final challenge will include all three, and Jake will get a small, improvised advantage. Like, we might as well not have had that scene of Ally reading Jake's letter to fill it, since she comes back to save him anyway, or not have the scene of them getting along and having her reveal she was rooting for him. IDK, the episode dosen't make me that mad, but it is by far from their best episode, let alone a 'good' one.

Here what they could of done with emily Emily she realizes that trevor does not want to cooperate so she lets him go before trevor WILLINGLY gives away the files. Afterwards she goes to the cave with her tranquilizers (plus trevor because he was scared that emily couod get hurt). Then emily lets the scorpion go while trevor gets the files however the scorpions attack emily and they leave. Emily, realizes that she screwed up and know that 6 people could die if she dosent do something, therefore she and trevor help the contestents escape however at the same time emily tries to figure out how to cancel the show

0:41 I feel like people hate this confessional too much, and I disagree-agree with them: Ally decided she is going to five up on all of the hatred she has for Jake to help him out, reaching the end of her hatred arc- but the way she says it makes it look like she had always been mature (when it was, in fact, not) Saying that she will always be the bigger person is like denying all the things she did to him (ep. 14 *cough* *cough*) This confessional could have been better if they had changed her line from "I will always be the bigger person" to " I DECIDED I am gonna be the bigger person" maybe even referencing what Connor told her in episode 18 inside the maze : "You need to start being the bigger person, Ally!" It would have shown the GROWTH and MATURATION we all wanted to see in this character instead of its HYPOCRISY So yeah, I don't hate this confessional because it is supposed to show Ally's character development, but it was executed horribly and instead showed her hypocrisy TL;DR: While I understand the intention of this confessional, it was written badly, and instead of showing Ally's growth, it showed her hypocrisy - That is why it's so hated

The only decently written season was Beta so obviously most of season 1 was written well. 2 and 3 is horrible and DCAS takes the cake as the worst derailments of the series. This season for fans was to knock TDAS out of the mud but it felt in the SAME EXACT TRAP. Very hard derailment after merge, forced and horribly written villain and FORCED PROTAGONIST.

DC2 is straight up garbage, the characters are all inconsistent and the most "serious stuff" they tried to add were terribly handled. DC3 managed to destroy characters that were already bad. I thought DC2 had the worst final 4 ever, but they somehow did worse

I don’t consider myself a DC fan since I’m really just not caught up in everything about the series, BUT OH MY LORD THIS EPISODE MADE ME FUME. • With the whole “Ally’s bag ripped” thing, at that point they should’ve made the challenge just getting out of the cave with your helper faster and just let Ally be last. But no, WE NEED UNPREDICTABILITY, BECAUSE WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE CONTESTANTS, NOT THE CHARACTERS! • Riya’s letter forgery thing could’ve gone WAY better if he just decided to read Jake’s letter, said what she would’ve wrote in Jake’s letter, and just have Ally & Jake not believe her, making her more determined to win since she still thinks she worked for it. • WHY IS CONNOR’S FOOT SUDDENLY OK?!?! AND WHY DIDN’T HE COMFORT ALLY CONSIDERING HE LIKED BOTH OF THEM?! • ASHLEY. OMFG. You’d think she’d be more involved in the Ally & Jake beef in this episode, let alone AT ALL, but NO! SHE DOESN’T HAVE A SINGLE LINE! WHAT! THE! F*CK! • You know how Chris & Chef in TD are basically a joke ship? Yeah, ONC doesn’t get that. Trevek sucks. • WHY IS EMILY ALL OF A SUDDEN A CARTOON SUPERVILLAIN?!?!?! • The scorpions would’ve made a lot more sense if Kristal went “They weren’t supposed to be in there! At least not yet…” (that’s more of a comedy thing but still, WHY WERE THEY THERE TO BEGIN WITH?) This episode shouldn’t have sucked as much as it did. The episode was really good to me, ally believed Riya because her complex relationship with Jake, the fact she had psychical proof of the note in her hand at the moment but may have misremembered the phone call or Jake was acting or he wasn’t (which doesn’t really contradict the phone call I think.) you can say she still shouldn’t believe Riya but I don’t think it was bad writing to make her do that. Riya did (presumably) got the gems from ally and this isn’t a bad writing choice either to me atleast. Emily’s whole thing was that she wanted to get revenge on the show and she would do anything for that, so like Riya but she doesn’t have empathy like her. If you think that ruined her character, that’s a subjective issue I’d say, i personally enjoyed that part. Also James probably barely does anything because he doesn’t have to, or maybe you’re just forgetting what he did because I wouldn’t blame you for that.

There was worse episodes. It was ok. The beginning was REALLY good but they had to make ally stupid again just so riya looks evil 💫. Then they made Jake magically fucking super Mario by long jumping cliffs and saving the cast so he looks brave 😍. Not even Tom can jump that far, an ASSASSIN. Emily was hinted to sabotage but what really annoyed me is how the Trevor relationship went to the mud. They were best friends and all of a sudden she tried to murder him. Derrick is now magically gay for Trevor and it feels forced. And the ally ending was BULLSHIT. Auto elims suck anyway but at least most of them in DC or TD are just stupid loopholes. This wasn’t even one because riya collected ZERO DIAMONDS and the bag was never RIPPED. Not to mention the cameras never captured anyone collecting diamonds and Krystal still didn’t check 💀 sighh
