Such a pleasure to get such a complete story of Ditch's illustrious life, I knew him in later years as a regular at his brother Dermots vinyl night in the Snug in Skerries where snippets of these stories came out. Ditch was a humble man with such an extraordinary life and one of the best voices in the business. Thanks Brendan for producing this lovely record.

Agreed Ben , Ditch stead in my flat in Notting Hill Gate in the hot summer of 1976 London,, there was a sort off gang of us creative Dubliners spread from the Gate to Hamstead & Camden Town.. so listening to the Man speaking about his ups & down's brings a lot of memories back ,, they should make a movie about ditches life a real Rock & Roll Story full of names and drama..R.I.P. Ditch my friend in spirit now.

I played in bands with Ditch, mid 70s and loved it, but I never heard all these stories. I never fully appreciated at that time what a legend he was and remained for all of his life. I am sorry now that he is gone, RIP Ditch, my old mentor.
