I have great memories of seeing Brush, Gary and Noel in the UK early days. I was at the first gig they played in Margate and the last one that Gary played with the band, The Van Dyke in Plymouth.

Good to hear Paul Chapman mentioned, saw Skid with him in the Stadium, great show shame it did nt go on, I read CBS decided to drop a lot of European acts around that time. Cream and Skid were the finest power trios of the rock era hands down.

Great to hear the two Brendans "shootin' the breeze". Nice new backdrop too Mr. Finglas! 🙂In an earlier life Brendan "Brush" Sheils would have been a seanchaí.

Can’t really say I contributed to the history of Irish Rock but I did play drums on the Falling Assunder Tour of 1976 in a band called Nightbus which was the first Rock tour of Ireland consisting also of Cheap Thrills and The Boomtown Rats. Noel Bridgeman was my drumming idol and I was an avid Skid Row fan and spent many a night standing in awe watching Noel Gary and Brush blowing us all away. Great times and great memories so thanks Brush and great work Brendan.

Saw the original trio reformed in Zeros in 74, dont know the story behind that, maybe it was to help out Ollie Byrne.
