I use tailscale - almost the same as twingate. Ive tried twingate but the main reason why I use tailscale and think its a bit better is cause I use a raspberry pi as an end node that I left at my sisters home to mask my IP when I’m out and about over 5g. I also paired it with nextdns. What I do love about twingate though is the ability to run it in a docker container.

Also it doesn't look like a good product. it's a critical piece of software that doesn't even have open source clients, but can access your hole network, it's cloud based, and it's slower than Tailscale. Original comment: What is the main difference with Tailscale and Zero tier? Or is it the same?

ZT uses it's own encryption. Tailscale uses wireguard which is known to be fast.

It establishes a direct connection between two or more devices unlike a traditional VPN. There is a type of VPN called mesh VPN that does this but, as far as I can tell twingate isn't a mesh VPN.

so what machine was the first connector that you installed on? i see the second one is your unraid server. my only other computer in my house besides unraid NAS is my laptop, which typically would not be on if i am not home. so in that scenario i guess i would only be able to have one connector on the unraid and thats it right?

KZbin also has a built-in feature that you check when uploading video. The disclaimer is at the very beginning of the video that you could click on and get more details. If you're viewing it on mobile, it's in the upper left. This alone follows the FTC guidelines. Next time I make a full sponsored video (I rarely do) I'll make sure to verbalize it better as well.

You said in your intro, that I wouldn't need a reverse-proxy, but what about containers like vault-warden that require https; or trying to bookmark several services on the same device that have different ports will be a nightmare! I use tailscale, and I'm already setup to where you are now, but I can't get the reverse proxy working and the json-ACL is kind of confusing for access. I would use it if it had a built in reverse proxy that could see your docker containers and give https/tls certs, but if not then no. Also not a fan of the closed nature, although I do like the simple UI for access.

This is probably the first of your videos, that I had to downvote. Not only promoting paid service and software, which by itself isn't necessarily a problem, but ain't in the spirit of FOSS and FOSS-way of doing things either, but when I've tried to open their website my browser literally almost froze. Mouse almost no movement. I barely managed to close their site and all turned back to normal. Who knows what agencies or actors are behind this service and how they scan you.

This option would work, but there aren't clients for TV only computers and phones. If you want more open source look into Tailscale.
