It's not that you're "exciting or boring". It's more that you're real. I appreciate your tips and advice as you go through the day.

I think we like day in the life videos cause it helps us know that we arent alone. I know for me, I feel like my days are so boring. I have no idea if im doing enough, wondering what other people do with their days.

Thanks for the Anxious for Nothing book rec. We have a few of his but not that one. I reread Trusting God by Jerry Bridges last year. Life changing! Highly recommend. I’ve had the paper copy for 15 years but this time I actually listened to the audio which was such a balm to my anxious heart especially right before bed. ❤️

We started cutting our boys hair last year as well. Not a professional either but my hubby and I work together and I think we do a pretty good job. I love that we are saving money. I get up early to workout and it's hard most days but I know it won't get done if i don't do it early in the day.

I have watched you do your planning a couple of times. Just wanted to let you know, I get my planner from Hobby Lobby. It varies between 9 to 11 dollars they have them every year. I get mine around June-July, it last a year and half, looks exactly the same inside and has sticker and pockets in back.

I just sat down with my 8th grader and planned out his first year of high school. He’s my 3rd high schooler, and because of sports being canceled, we’ve held him back in 8th grade so he has a better chance of recruiting in high school for college football. It’s always fun in high school to see your child’s interests being explored!

Love all your videos!!! Not on instagram, so I hope you don’t find my request here rude, however I love videos in which you impart info on all of us!!! For instance, how you grab resources for a kid who needs a bit of extra practice on a topic within curriculum, all the fitness things (I know you are torn on sharing), and chit-chat types. I’d love to hear more about the resources you utilize for your spiritual life (podcasts, sermons, books), and how your spiritual life collides with your fitness life. Thanks for always being a light in a dark place and time.

Absolutely we want to see day in the lives. Its because its relatable 🥰. We all as mums and parents hate having to get up and clean the house everyday and feel like we are constantly doing the same stuff and when we see others doing it, it makes us feel less alone in it 🥰. Solo mum of two boys here and KZbin is my saviour xx

A lot of us aren’t doing exciting things everyday. I used to love all these mommy bloggers because they would show there lives, and how they did their normal life and it was relatable and inspiring to see other moms also deal with what i do, and then get ideas how to be better. That’s what i like about it, once someone only shows what they do on a trip or whatever ONLY i end up wanting i stop watching. Because I’m definitely doing nothing special most days

I also find it so hard to get rid of my planners! I think it's because it's just like an album of memories. Last year I found an old planner from way back in 2004!!! 😬 It was so great though because it was the year our second daughter was born and I LOVED looking through it and remembering Drs visits and ultrasound appointments, finding out we were having another girl, what we did in the first few weeks after she was born etc... 🥰

I never throw away my old planners! I still have a few from high school and its awesome to look back from time to time. And its like a memory keeper because I do a ton of journaling in mine. I mean how cool will it be if I have a granddaughter and she is able to read back through my courtship with my husband. My grandma aka mom use to tell me about her courtship story with my grandpa and I just loved it.

This is something so peaceful and harmonious the same structure and stability in a routine and a lot of us could use a way back to that. Or at least live vicariously through you having one as mine as fallen more and more apart as my kids get older and my husband thinks I'm stressed out when I have the whole family on "mom ideal routine" but truly Ive been lost without it the last 4 years and can't get it back or least not the whole family anyways. I feel more stressed without the systems and structure of routines, but this is the year I at least get my own systems and structure back even if it's different from the rest of the family.

Max Lucado has a similar book about anxiety. I believe this one you showed is actually on audio from my library. I’ll have to check it out! There was another one in Christian books magazine that had todo with letting go of grudges. I need to read more books this year! Love the day in the life videos too. Curious why you even go upstairs to do independent work when they are all in the same room just like at the dining room table? Just a thought. I've never thought to ask you that before. We don't have a school room and I see the pros and cons. Just curious what you notice to be the difference in going to a diff room. My kids are awesome at diagramming sentences too...we never learned that in school. My daughter got the whole Narnia series for Christmas and she has read through almost all of them already.

I totally played barbies until I was 14/15! I loved their hair. I have an off topic question for you and this is the only way I I’ve to contact you. So, in one of your videos (maybe long ago) you mentioned trying a different math curriculum for your oldest girl. I wanted to know the name of it. It had lots of thin books to it. May have been just a supplement or something you planned on trying for just a little while. Do you know what I’m thinking of?? Thanks for your time!!
