For your vitamins: I use the pill boxes with a compartment for each day of the week. I have several boxes and I load them up several weeks at a time. Using these boxes does away with the “Did I take them today?” dilemma. If today’s pills are still in the compartment, I know I still need to take them. If the compartment is empty, I’ve already taken them! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and that 2022 is the best year ever for you. Thanks for all you do! Travel safely!

Clean house (including fridge), fresh sheets, and laundry done make coming home so much better. We stayed at an Airbnb recently (1&3 yo) and I brought laundry detergent because I know there would be accidents. That was a game changer! I came home with all clean clothing except for what we wore. Often putting away clothes is a chore if our dressers and closets are too full. I recommend a thorough purge of items you don’t wear or like on, and the space that creates make putting away easy and fast. One tip I heard is if you wouldn’t take it on vacation, get rid of it. That could like like binning up and storing for a set number of days. If you don’t need to go into it to pull out a missed item, donate in total at the end of the set number of days.

Oh my gosh, a grow-along that includes seeds that can be grown in pots and such is AMAZING!! So excited, thanks for all the extra work you’re putting into a project like this Becky!

We are also both good at washing, but not as good at putting it away. Here is how we made it less bad. We don’t fold most little things: like undies and socks (I tether them at the elastic tops before I put them in the hamper.). They just go into the drawer as they are. We hang dry nearly all shirts. So, when they are dry, they just need to be moved, not hung or folded. We roll fold all base layers and workout clothes. For what is left to fold, I do like you: with entertainment. We no longer have anything that has to be dry cleaned and very little that needs even wrinkle release, never mind ironing. But when we did have some ironing, I’d wash/dry the shirts at home and take them to the cleaners just to be pressed. It saved a lot of time and wasn’t too expensive.

I used to have baskets upon baskets of laundry because I hated folding and putting away (when I had 5 kids at home). Now that it's just hubby and I, I have found it best to take the laundry right from to dryer to our room (or the bathroom if it's towels), fold, and put it right away. Then I can grab another load if needed.

This year it was just us so we missed her so much yet at the same time doing her favorite thing made us feel closer to her! Thanks so much for making getting back to my Mom favorite thing easy! I feel you so bad on that laundry topic!! I also let the laundry lie in the dryer for as long as possible or hang at the drying rack...then i get it out, fold everything and then well....the basket with folded cloth stands around and I empty it by using that cloths again.
@terryhenderson4243 жыл бұрын
Doing clothing pairings across the bed, or even with an open closet door and dresser drawer, helps to determine the condition of the rotation, the holes in the rotation, opportunities for additional pieces and accessories, and make for more mindful clothing purchases. Often fewer (not always) purchases, lower expenditures (not always), and convert better clothes to lesser clothes as the fsbric gets limp, a hem or cuff starts to ravel, etc... It also enables you to choose a better quality (and typically more expensive/ each) foundation piece, shoes, accessory, or outer wear which will last for years style and longevity wise while beginning to upscale your wardrobe. For example, from what you've shown us you could easily fit in a pair of super quality black shoes and/ or a quality dress coat which can dress up or down.

@lindaanne968511 ай бұрын
Becky, I love your channel, thank you for all your hard work! I have been folding the laundry as I take it out of the dryer. This way it doesn't get wrinkly or tempt me to leave it sitting in the laundry basket unfolded. Also, if I don't feel like doing it I say I will just fold 10 things and do the rest later but after 10 items it's mostly done so I usually just finish up. God bless you!

I have the same issues with Laundry. I’d end up with piles of nice clean folded laundry that end up in a toppled mess. Since I moved back to the tropics we don’t use a dryer and only air dry, I hang my laundry on the same hangers I use in my cupboard so it goes from the drying line straight into my cupboard. I also learnt that folding does not work for most of my system cause I hate arranging the piles. I loved folding though.

Wanted to mention to you since you have a freeze dryer have you heard of Fast Beans? I watched it on RoseRed Homestead, thought you might be interested in seeing this. I have had no luck buying clothes online, I need to try them on, it seems even if they are the same size they never all fit the same. I once had a store tag left on a dress I needed for an event where a family member was receiving a major award and didn't notice until I was putting it on and didn't have the time to run all the way out to the mall before going to the event. I called the store and they actually sent someone out to the venue and take it off right before the ceremony started so it wouldn't show during the pictures, I was so lucky and now check every item before I leave the store. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't wash something before I wear it unless it is from a second-hand store. I can't wait to see what you grow in containers, I know you like to reuse things and I've been watching videos with a gentleman who uses used plastic bottles in creative ways to grow his plants, it is DHD Gardens. Yay, I've already ordered and received the seeds for next season. I live in a small house, small garden, big city. So always grow stuff in pots. Usually grow cherry tomatoes because they're multi functional, eat them like that or put them in dishes. My fav this year is butternut squash, I've decided to put it into the small bit of soil I have in our frontyard (next to where we park the car) and let it grow across the yard over tiles. First time doing that so we'll see. And for peppers I love pointed peppers, they grow faster and more abundant per bush than block peppers. Can't wait. Last year I wasn't in the mood and started late, half of March. Wayyyy too late for peppers. Now I think I'll start beginning of february.
