You are absolutely crushing motherhood. Thank you so much for being so vulnerable about when things didn't go well and losing your temper it really helps me not feel alone in that. Mom's are human to! Also when I learned to crochet I picked a little figure too, cause it's so much more fun and there really isn't any should when it comes to learning a hobby as far as I'm concerned. ❤

Yes girl you don't always have to have your house clean every single day especially if you have multiple kids a KZbinr once said you don't have to have your house like your kids don't live in it and that is really why it's because it means the kids make messes all the time kids are kids and that is it for them it is part of life and it's part of there learning and it's why we don't have to always have our house clean

I just listened to "After Bedtime" by the Big Little Feelings creators and they talked about the 80-20 rule. How perfectionism in motherhood is so unattainable and exhausting. So finding out what things you can let go of (the 20%) that can allow you to maintain the most of your sanity. They also talked about how that number can fluctuate during certain seasons of life. It's definitely helping put into perspective what things are most important for me to prioritize and what things I can let go of. It's awesome that you're able to let go of the "mess" in the house, I wish I could do that! I love your idea of documenting it! I definitely don't move my body as much as I should but you know what, thats something I'm okay with letting go for now!

I loved seeing you learning to knit!! I taught myself to knit with kits just like that when the lockdown started and it's become such a lovely hobby! It's a very cozy activity for wintertime too

Gotta say thanks for keeping it real. The whole gentle parenting thing is really hard, but even harder when you came from a family that yelled. You’re doing great! I needed this vlog today!

Oooh I always thought you might like knitting! So glad you're learning! let's be real... Scarves 👏 are 👏 boring 👏. Always try a project you'll be driven to finish first. What you can do is investigate those stitches, do some small swatches til you feel confident, and then tackle the project again! It'll teach you so much faster than knitting some garter stitch or stockinette stitch scarf! Just a fellow yarn crafty supporting your choice for a starter project. And if you get discouraged, just remember the sort of fun wordplay of "frogging" a little frog 🐸

Girl, don’t feel bad for having to be more harsh. Even following a gentle parenting style, sometimes you do have to get a little more harsh to get your point through. Sometimes meltdowns and tantrums don’t lend themselves to easy gentle parenting tactics. But the real win with what you had to do is the conversation after he calmed down to explain why you got more harsh and what he can do differently when he has those big feelings. You’re absolutely slaying the work from home mom stuff. Being a parent is hard on its own. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to work and be a full time parent.

Took me 5 tries to finish this video. One of those mom mental breakdown days with lots of yelling and tears, so fun. Tomorrow is a new day. That pie looks so good. I don’t like the “jelly” in pie so I make a sour cream apple pie, but i’m going to try this one now. Thank you for sharing a family recipe and your vulnerability.

Loved this vlog so much ❤ Was wondering if you (or any of your subscribers) have any tips for getting a 2 year old to stay in their own toddler bed at night instead of wanting to come into mummy and daddy’s bed every night? It’s so draining 😭

We got pretty lucky in that he just never did it. He usually sleeps through every night. Maybe it’s from keeping him in the crib so long? He also never tried to climb out. Kids are so different!

You can tell how much positive affirmations you usually give Rowan by his self talk, "I'm doing a good job!" "That was a good one" 🥹❤️
