TIP: you only need to feed repeated foods for 3-5 days if its allergy food! Doing that for everything is super outdated and if you do the maths 6 months until they’re 1 is not enough time to do that! Make sure you don’t introduce allergy foods on day of injections, wait a week after until you do since babies immune is already taking a hit from immunisations you don’t wanna stress it out even more! :)

I’ve enjoyed your videos for awhile and have to say your content is more enjoyable now than when Jase was a baby because of things you’ve pointed out yourself. You’re more relaxed. This isn’t criticism because I liked your content then; but it’s even better now. Even as a vlogger alone, your more laid back approach is super fun to watch. Kudos and keep up the great work!

My baby is 5 months old and has started solids. We're doing a bit of a mix between BLW and feeding puree to her as she sometimes doesn't want to hold the food but she leans forward wanting to eat. I'm a first time mum and I feel super overwhelmed with introducing solids so watching this was very helpful!

Do u serve fruit puree warm.or cold? I am struggling feeding my 6 month old baby...he is very active , he was having the store bought fruit puree when 5 month and suddenly now he doesn't seem to be interested to eat and just babble and lay down
@AliciaQuality Жыл бұрын
@@frenchvanilla7480 I served it warm. I would always sit with my baby when she first started eating solids and I could eat in front of her so she could mimmick what I was doing. Maybe try that?
@frenchvanilla7480 Жыл бұрын
@AliciaQuality what solids did u serve her?
@AliciaQuality Жыл бұрын
@frenchvanilla7480 her first solids were simple cooked and pureed veggies; carrot, zucchini, broccoli etc. I tried to bot serve pureed fruit too often as it's mostly sugar. I also let her touch all the food with her hands while I fed her with a spoon, I even let her use the spoon. I found it helped her to be comfortable with what she was eating. It can be very stressful but try and take it one meal at a time - there is no time limit on how long it takes to eat and if your baby is done after a few mouthfuls, that's ok too.

I LOVE that little cup! It's so cute. A trick though, from working many years in daycare nurseries : More water in the cup (like at least half way) is easier because it reaches the mouth quicker and doesn't require as much coordination and precision in handling the cup, but she is so little that right now it's not even quite relevant yet

With baby led weaning you can actually give her the spoon and let her feed herself! Will get messy but eventually helps to teach them how to use a spoon. You can also put apple sauce or peanut butter on little pieces of bread (without salt) in Europe with have those organic ones made of chestnut that are really good.

I did something similar and my son is a very good eater. He is 21 months now and eats just about anything. Every child gets a little picky but I have less issues with him than most of the other moms I see. I would even make purees and put some on the tray to play with. Or puree stew and put chunks on his tray and he would play with the chunks and eat the puree from me. So he could experiment and while eating enough to develop a taste for it. It truly is a lot of work though, it was so messy and it was exhausting but he is a clean eater now and sits at the table. So I think the hard work is worth it. Good pay off.

Number 1 tip: don't assume a baby doesn't like something, or won't learn to like something, just due to a facial expression. Even with my now 21 month old, I will continue giving him ALL foods and he goes in and out of eating certain things. I think that's the key to long-term success and avoiding picky eaters.

I'm somewhat familiar with BLW, but it scares me. I have a 6 month old that just started solids and I am absolutely terrified of him choking so I'm starting with baby cereal and purees mixed with breast milk. I love letting my baby explore and learn on his own and he is getting really good at using a spoon, but I just sat through this whole video terrified she was going to suddenly take a huge bite and choke. It seems weird to me that this concern doesn't come up in the BLW videos I've seen so far.

My eldest son’s middle name is Jace! Lol. My 7 month old literally plopped his hand into my bowl of soup, trying to steal some.😂 He loved it, but I’m nervous about giving him anything that isn’t blended…😅🤔 Cool to see that it seems safe! I can absolutely relate about it being difficult to let them get messy and just learn on their own, with my first I was so micromanaging that when I finally gave her a spoon to eat her own cereal at 3 years old, she was having a hard time keeping the spoon upright so the food doesn’t spill before getting to her mouth. My youngest is my last, and I want to try just letting him eat like this. I’m just glad he seems to love veggies! He seemed to like bananas, but when I blend them, not from the baby food container, and he’s not really into fruit yet. 🤔My other kids don’t really like veggies except for cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, and tomatoes.
