Very good explanation. VoLTE should be activated for both DITO users for them to call each other. DITO to DITO = VoLTE is needed for both DITO to Globe and Smart = VoLTE is only needed for DITO because Globe and Smart can use 3G/2G frequencies for calls.

Yes and no. Your phone must support 4G and if you want to make calls, it has to support VoLTE. If you buy a phone that's on the compatible list, it's meant to work out of the box without any tweaks. If you have a phone that isn't on the list, you MIGHT have to mess with all the settings to get it working. And there's no guarantee all the features will work.

Thank god another company entered the market in the Philippines because Globe sucks ass of their coverage. I flew to the Phil and was in the hospital in right smack in the middle of Cebu City because of my father. I can’t even make an emergency call or text inside. I had to go outside and put my iPhone X up in the air to get coverage. This is on Jan 2020.
