Thank you for the kind regards!! What are you programming in? It's been a while since I've used a modern engine. Our first release was Unity ~2014 I think lol. Nowadays I'd probably do something in GoDot because I really like 2D.

I can think of few cursed ways, but all of them would require custom cart hardware. Or you could go the Star Trek: Generations route (locking the final level behind a password that you can only find out by watching the movie).

The authentic is off because the Game Boy Color cartridges were not compatible with normal game boys if you wanted a game that was backwards compatible with old game boys you need the colored cartridges. Like the black cartridges were showing colors for the Game Boy Color but can be played on a normal Game Boy.

Hey, you're 100% right. I actually ran a few polls though and many preferred the blue cartridge. On the bright side the shell is not an original GBC cartridge mold it's a bit different to allow it to function with an original DMG.

It is a good game, but it has to be based on being addictive to work well, so it is advisable to try it with people who are not interested in the game, or look for a more critical review on this topic, another thing is to listen to the reviews, it always helps and you can see what is wrong or what to improve, greeting and luck bro

No, I made my own engine with the GBDK devkit. Making it ourselves let us squeeze the maximum performance out of the old console!

Great question. It doesn't have a Super Gameboy border if that's what you mean. I don't have a SGB to test it either but I assume it should work. I've tested the cart so far on modded GB/GBC/GBL/AP.

Interesting. Which song exactly? I love what our composer came up with. You can only hear one song (Shinee's) in the trailer but the demo has 2 others (main menu and Blobee's). Our composer has even made music for Runescape/OSRS!

Nothing to be worried or ashamed about. There will always be similarities with other work, no matter what you do.

@@AugustRenders Oh believe me I'm well aware of that haha! It's like that meme where the kid has a song he's showing the dad, but the dad puts on the song that sounds similar to it that he grew up with, and then grandpa walks in and he's got his version of the song from like the 1940s that's also the same. Basically any pop song is a dusted off song from history. Intentional or not! But in this case I'm not sure I'm hearing what you're hearing. Just FYI I'm not the composer but I'm very happy with our music. You can check out the Kickstarter to learn more about him! I do know that with one of the songs that's not in the trailer, there is a bit of a nod to another game's melody, but I doubt anyone will ever notice it.

I think this is pretty nice, i just wish there were GB switches for different tile data, as you can get away with shading on grayscale art Look at wario land 2 gb vs gbc for example

Great question, it is a special cartridge that looks like a GBC cartridge but it has a notch cut out to make it fit on a DMG Game Boy. Think of it as a GB/GBC Black cartridge
