I'm really starting to fall in love with this piece. As you said Andrei, finding a genuine GADA chronograph isn't easy. My Certina DS Chronograph Automatic purchase fell through - It was a too dressy and a little large for what I want from a daily. But this? At 38/39mm with 100m WR and a good bracelet? I think it's the one. I *love* that stretch 3-link bracelet and prefer the broad arrow hand. And I like how the hour plots on the bezel can be used as a 12hr counter when I need to time something for longer than 30mins. This brand has (re)started strong there'll be plenty of good stuff to come I'm sure. Thanks for another review.

Its probably the feeling that 99% of people won't recognise the Brand name and you will keep thinking why you spent $1750 on this brand that most people don't recognise; instead of probably spending a little more and getting a Tudor, Hamilton, Longines or an Omega. Nivada Grenchen is brilliant, but the price point is what's holding ne back as well. I can get a Rado Captain Cook 42mm for $1500, or a Hamilton Intramatic Chronograph for $2000. Longines can also be found for similar price range. But Tudor, Hamilton, Rado, Longines are well known brands.
@neiloppa26202 жыл бұрын
@@kunalparmar7792 the Rado Captain Cook is really nice. If you weren't going to use all the functions in the Nivada, the Rado is a better choice.

@@kunalparmar7792 yeah it's the price and lack of fitting endlinks that really bother me. I can get a manual wind lemania 1873 powered chronograph made by a big independent swiss brand for about 950 usd..

I've never heard of this brand, I'm a Swiss though. So many brands have disappeared with this quartz crisis, we don't realize it. It's a nice watch but when you look at it it looks like the movement is too big for this case size. 100m for a diver is limited but almost all buyers never go diving with these divers, they are bought for their look, the same for chronos. Nice review. PS : I was surprised about only the "Swiss" and not "Swiss Made" what i found... short story Founded in 1926 by Jacob Schneider in Grenchen (Switzerland) 1980 RIP because the Quartz crisis Reborn in 2018 by Guillaume Laidet and Remi Chabrat (France guys) This explain the Swiss only, i think ;)

Correct, I think in order to keep the prices down, they made a certain percentage of parts elsewhere for labor costs reasons.

The Swiss Army knife of watches. And FYI, the C. Ward logo is the flags of England and Switzerland. They've dropped the C Ward name on their latest releases. It's not really surprising. It would be like walking round with an ex's name tattooed on your arm.
