What I love about this, is that this shark is one of the biggest great whites ever recorded and if you compare this shark to the one in jaws the physical similarities are staggering huge size...colouring...and yet it’s swimming peacefully along side dolphins and seals and if you look closely you see that the dolphin was literally right in front of its mouth if it wanted to eat it it would have...and if you said that to anyone they’d probably think you were lying and that in reality the shark was hunting the dolphin and seal...and yet the footage says it all, we really need to think differently about these animals and it’s necessary that we protect them and respect them it’s our duty as the dominant species on this planet🐬🦈🦦
@johnnysze58732 жыл бұрын
Just to be clear I am a huge great white fan and definitely agreed 100% that they need to be respected and protected. However what you saying isn’t true, this great white just ate a lot of meat from the dead sperm whale carcass near by, it’s peaceful towards other animals because it’s probably full and didn’t have to waste energy and hunt for food for other preys, and the dolphins know that, so they dare to swim along, same as the divers, they are professionals who knows what they are doing. In other occasions Great white especially targeted seals and dolphins for food. So do not even tries to justify that great white sharks are calm and peaceful all the time and is okay to approach by others. They are extremely dangerous and if someone got bit or killed because of that , they will search it and kill it or kill other sharks. It’s a huge harm towards the goal of protecting them. This video just shows how they are so much more intelligent than we thought and they are not killing mechanics for sure. But remember, they hunt and eat to survive.

As you can see, this big girl has no large black markings on her chin or belly. This is wonderful and amazing footage, but this particular shark is not DEEP BLUE.... I've seen that most shark attacks are by smaller sharks, my theory is because the big ones know they arent gonna get a meal out of us tiny humans
@cuajvue17984 жыл бұрын
@@chrispyfriedchicken9648 most shark attacks are the result of accidental identification. Doesn't matter if its a big shark or small shark. For example, surfers get attacked because, when they're paddling on their board to their wave, the shark looks up and sees a shape that's similar to a seal or turtle. And a lot of the aggression you see on TV where there's a guy in a cage is the result of the boat throwing the fish into a frenzy by chumming the water. Its also proven science that sharks are attracted more to the color yellow. Very few attacks are actually deliberately done on humans. But like they said, this isn't exactly something you want to do every day.
@Bolt99K4 жыл бұрын
cuaj vue As a free diver and certified scuba diver who dives all around the florida coast, i can tell you thats absolutely incorrect. You’re underestimating the intelligence and the understanding of these sharks. They have incredibly refined sense of smell and vision, not to mention they have a “6th sense” called ampullae of Lorenzini that detect muscle movement and the beat of your heart. They’re not going to mistake us for something else. The reason sharks bite is because thats the only way for them to assess new things in their environment. They don’t have hands that they can use to pick things up and examine them, they have to bite things that smell or look like potential food to know if they’re edible. Unfortunately, even an “exploratory bite” as they’re called can prove fatal to a fragile creature like a human. Theres tons of videos of sharks attacking free divers in perfectly clear water so its definitely not mistaken identity, sharks are smart and they’ll eat anything thats potentially food. Humans are biological creatures that swim very slow, meaning we’re definitely potential food and sharks will eat us if they’re hungry or curious enough. And if a shark really wants you, then you’re a goner. Many people who get eaten have no trace left of them, so they’re presumed drowned when in reality they’ve been completely consumed by one or multiple sharks. They’re intelligent beautiful and powerful animals that deserve our respect and caution.

The surfer got lucky and didn't even have a scratch. Deep Blue is absolutely stunning and just so calm. It proves how misunderstood these animals are. ❤

There are many deadly attacks recorded so don't think White sharks are sweet Pets. Probably the experienced divers know how tò approach a Shark and maybe this Is particuparly mild but this is not what usually happens when someome meet a white shark
@vixxenreigns Жыл бұрын
Actually attacks on humans normally stem from human error. Did I say it was a pet? No I did not. I have also studied these animals and many others and one common factor is that most people trying to get footage will do whatever to create "drama" and behaviors that are NOT natural and which brings in views but skews the viewpoints of the people watching. How many videographers create a feeding frenzy with sharks by over-chumming the water and literally baiting the animals for a reaction that would not be typical had the human element not been present. Shark attacks are actually less than 1 in 1,000,000 which makes them rare. Do I need to go into how to avoid a shark attack? Maybe before making a bunch of false statements and assumptions and adding to the whole fear mongering deal, go talk to actual scientists that study these animals.
@lash4572 Жыл бұрын
hypocrite.....nope they are unpredictable and if they are hungry especially in places where commercial fishing nets are putting strain on the sharks natural prey, they will seek out other meals including people...They are also opportunistic feeders, and sharks are curious creatures they will bite items to "taste" them and they will attack if feeling threatened..there have been numerous deadly attacks that have not been caused by human error .Most shark attacks are from mistaken identity thinking that the person is a seal or another prey item they feed on usually from low visibility in water etc.last year 57 fatal sharks occured... 2023 is currently at 58 deaths and these are unprovoked shark attacks.

Here's what people need to understand: sharks have a "hunting" mode they go into. You'll notice when you see a picture/video of a shark with no fish near it vs one with fish all around. Other fish know when they're hunting even though it might look indistinguishable to us. But when not hunting, I'm not gonna say they're harmless, but they have no reason to hurt you if you're not threatening them. And even then, they very rarely look at humans as food simply due to our size and shape (we're not easy animals to chew and swallow). Most bites that happen are just that: bites. Most species of sharks interact with their surroundings by biting things; that's how they discern stuff and find out what it is (though this mostly happens to things floating on or near the surface). Why do you think they find sharks with bits of tires and stuff in their stomach? It's not food, they just want to know what it is.

Interesting common sense didn't kick in with any of the folks at the show

Well...the sharks were there to feed on the carcass of a whale. Plenty to eat for everybody. I don't think the divers bothered the shark-the big one had a couple of dolphins following it. Heck, Ramsey seems to have a good 'situational awareness' about this shark. It probably thinks she's an overgrown remora or some other 'hanger on'.

When you realize you were on a catamaran in southern Oahu the same day right near where this giant was spotted... I’m kinda scared of sharks but wish I would’ve seen her!

Why can't these people just shoot a nice shark video and maybe frame a diver or two into it for scale? What is it with these freedivers that they seem to feel the need to have their paws all over the wildlife, grabbing fins, etc? I guess that's an ego thing - look at me in the video - I have the stones to touch this dangerous animal. One of these days, that will backfire.

@ShortyTheDireWolf5 жыл бұрын
They aren't unpredictable, you just have to know the signs to watch out for. There's a time and place for everything. This was simple right conditions and the diver knew that. Anything with a mouth can bite and unfortunately when that happens people freak out.
