Great explanation of this disease. Maybe the best I've seen. You made this entertaining and easy to understand. I had an at attack with perforation, fever, dizzy nausea and cold sweat. 4 days in the hospital. Colonoscopy soon and 4 weeks later still minor symptoms. Hopefully in can avoid surgery.

I’m recently diagnosed and having trouble with understanding the risk factors because I eat very healthy organic high fiber diet, am very active, drink lots of high quality water, have regular bowel movements. I thought I was an anomaly but I’m finding many others who like me, don’t fall into those metrics you speak of.

Sadly, he's simply repeating what allopathic medicine), taught him and millions of other doctors (keep in mind who finds these schools). Sadly, it turns out that those who eat high amounts of legumes, beans, dark leafy green vegetables and such, are actually more at risk for these conditions because the level of oxilates, lechtins and any other anti-nutrients in plant foods cause massive disturbance to the digestive tract. I was a strict organic eating omnivore for the last 16 years of my life and a strict vegan for the last 5 years of my life and the vegan diet is what caused my diverticulosis which is eventually turned into diverticulitis and I live with horrible pain the last two years. Doctors are so poorly educated that they don't even believe that diet literally controls everything in your body. The diet that seems to fix everyone up with all different types of digestive issues is the carnivore diet, simply because it's eliminating all these anti-nutrients and the excessive amount of carbs that the average person eats. In addition, gluten is our number one enemy. So trust me, You are Not alone that you are not fitting the scenario that he is describing. All of these doctors are backwards sadly and the only way to get better is to follow a naturalpathic Doctor who actually gets it. Hope this helps. Ps. And if you do decide to go carnivore, you must eat drink raw milk, eat raw cheese, organic grass-fed pasteurized eggs and organic grass-fed beef. If you continue to buy the store-bought stuff that's full of pesticides and chemicals and antibiotics and these animals are fed the wrong types of food for their body type, you will not heal. I don't also suggest you look into a peptide called bpc-157. Best! I eat a stric

I have all but cured my severe diverticulitis by intermittent fasting, eating grass fed red meat, raw dairy and lots of fruit. The common dietary solutions offered by professionals nearly killed me.

@@SpirituallyAscending81You said a vegan diet is bad but eating grain fed food (store-bought) also. What do I eat then if the dairy in the store is also bombed with pesticides antiobiotics etc.. I am on my third flare out and fasting works really good but eventually you need food i will eat a lot of fibre and will test if that works..
@SpirituallyAscending81 Жыл бұрын
@@Regelar Let me clarify further for you. Fiber is your enemy when you have diverticulitis or diverticulosis. Fiber causes tons more inflammation in your gut. The only foods that are safe for you to eat are grass fed and pasture raised animal products for the most part when you have diverticulitis or diverticulosis. You would have to buy organic which are not covered in glycophosphate or other pesticides. Raw organic milk is very soothing to the gut as well. I'm doing the carnivore diet now for a few weeks and I have zero stomach pain or issues any longer.

My friend said he cured himself from diverticulitis with the protocol below: Week 1,2: Purchase diatomaceous earth (food grade). Start with one tablespoon mixed with grape juice or something non acidic. Do this a few days a week for a two week period. Week 3,4: take EB (Earth’s Bounty) Oxy-Cleanse as directed on the bottle for a couple of weeks. Lastly: Take Triphala Extract 1500mg to heal. The process is long but well worth it according to my friend.

Well shoot. My boyfriend just had a colonoscopy today because his cancer doctor found that his colon was inflamed on his latest CT scans. After the colonoscopy the doctor said he found "diverticuli" during the colonoscopy and that that would be the cause for the inflamed colon. I now feel confused. If the inflation was caused from the "diverticuli" why wasn't he put on antibiotics? Why isn't his "diverticuli" being treated at all? And why was he giving a colonoscopy if it can cause a perforation? Why wasn't the "diverticuli" discovered on the CT scans? I'm just confused.
@Ya-hoo2 жыл бұрын
It’s very confusing but extra confusing if your GI dr give not explanation to you. Usually if it’s diverticuli only they tell you to change your diet only well all depends what the person can eat bcz food allergies. I been treated badly by my Dr with out explanation to what’s going on. I recommend going to the ER anytime you feel pain bcz the inflammation comes back even worse. It happened to me even with strict diet. GI dr told me you know you body n if u feel something is wrong like a lot of pain, fever, vomiting, or feel you need to poo n nothing comes out go to the ER. I’m been in 3 different antibiotics n haven’t finished the last set of n still have a lot of pain n nausea but not fever. It’s complicated but in if you go to the ER they have different intravenous meds options n ct scan to double check. I hope u understand. Diverticuli never goes away n you will have from time to time flore up. All I know now it’s bcz utube videos not any dr out there. Sadly but true. I never eat unhealthy foods either. I eat healthy n a lot of vegetables, fruits, Greek yogurt is the best but still I got diverticulitis. Diverticuli is something you may get from your family, example if you mom/dad or grandma had diabetes u may have it later on life, dr hate taking about it but try anyway. I try to help understand it better. Wishing your boyfriend good luck, never be afraid always go to the ER if he feel terrible. Dr said diverticuli is very common n a lot of people have it

In the U.S. it seems like people are told immediately to have a colonoscopy, and now I'm wondering how often that's the reason why it perforated.
