I'm a big fan of that Stellaris idea, I enjoy getting the stories without the minutiae of gameplay. Plus for the creators I imagine the KZbin dramatizations are a great tool for driving traffic to their streams.

About the experience thing: I remember that there's a way to give specific units experience upon being trained; i.e "Town Militia (2 experience)"; directly in the (high Tier) recruitment buildings. Is that already in DaC? If not, it could be implemented to give units a different way to get exp. upon being trained.

I think the solaris recap would be fun to watch. Don’t really know the game but your commentary usually makes the play throughs fun in any case

Arachir, I think that a Stellaris progress report is a lovely idea, and that it is the kind of thing that would be very enjoyable to watch. May I suggest that a way to format a video like that would be to record you with your actual game on the screen. While you occasionally move around the screen to show various pieces of progress, almost like a developer diary with you talking about the thing that was done while showing it to us viewers. What do you think about something like that? Again I like the idea and it would be fun to see it every once in a while.

You are right, I'll moan: Why keeping such a useless thing like experience in a bugged game? I absolutely agree with the removes you plan, as I see that superior forces are humiliated from under-trash units with no priviledges at all, no armor-piercing, no attack bonus, nothing... Moreover, it offers only more bugs. Nevertheless, with Stellaris and every staff of your channel, you do whatever you want, we are here to watch you and support you. I hope you excuse me for my tone at the beginning, I'm just joking...

You are holding your daughters hard Galu, turning down every single suitor that comes forth! A bit interesting since you didn't think twice about giving away someone else's daughter when Drangu the Liar wanted a fair human maiden to spill his seed into.

hey galu, i was wondering if there can be a script for the orc nations and evil men (excluding dunland) were if we got the ring and returned it to mordor, we could get a super army from mordor as a thank you with a great general. rather than holding onto the ring which i do everytime, i could be rewarded for the ring

Hello Galu! I would love to see an animated after action report! I thought about something to it: you make a call for a writer on the DaC discord/twcenter. The candidates have to send you a piece of their work based of an episode of your choosing. Of course there would be a deadline to submit the work or a number of places to prevent too much pieces of work to look upon. Or you can ask someone you know, who is willing to do this and has writing/storytelling skills. Once you have done this and choosed the writer, you can make a sort of recap every 5-10 episodes or number of turns (therefore the writer has to watch dilligently). He sends you the script, you give it the get-go and you can do the voice-over and the clip for the video. If you dont want to, the writer can do this on his own, it would cut through the participants but i dont think people would volunteer to write, clip and mix entire vids of recaps of your lets plays

Very much into the idea of a Stellaris game, as suggestions: The New Horizons mod is great fun if you like Star Trek and even if you don't, it's exceptionally high quality. Secondly, naming ships/whatever after viewers can result in much hilarity.

A bit of diplomacy advice - use gold pr. turn - set 500/1000 for a town and up top 15-20 turns:)Its a good gold flow and makes sure they can pay - if they sit at 2000 gold they cant give you 3000 although they will happily give 1000 for 10 turns - simply because they can.

Have you considered using a smaller unit size for these campaigns in the future? It is awesome to see so many troops on the field, but smaller units make the battle much easier to manage.

Hello there, I guess this is a place where I could post this. I've had a (bug?) when using, at least in custom battle, the "Woodland Sentinels" from the Kingdom of Dale. When I select max armor, those sentinels appear like if they were silver surfers, like if the corresponding texture didn't load correctly. Is this a well known issue?

It works correctly with the same unit from the Lothlorien faction

I'd love to see a campaign update video. You could just do images from the map like the guys that does MTWII timeline lapses and talk over that and add more if you have time. I'd def watch.

I do not really know all that much about Stellaris and probably without seeing any the campaign it may be a little confusing to us the viewers. But I do like the idea in general though. Perhaps the idea could be implemented into DaC videos to show the progress or fall of the nation. On the topic of live streaming, and I know this was not discussed in the video, but perhaps you could do a few battles like from Third Age reforged or something every few weeks. That way, there is not a set time commitment as since the battle is done in one session.

Perhaps if you're concerned about staying committed to a live streaming schedule you could simply do the Stellaris campaign recap videos you were discussing? That way you can still have the fun creative part without having to worry about staying on a rigid streaming schedule. I would watch either way!

About your Stellaris question, as a student I would rather have videos on KZbin so I can watch them when I am free. Especially as a Canadian viewer I wouldn’t be able to watch the stream throughout the day so all I would be able to get is the summary videos. Just my opinion.

How about you drop this whole DAC thing and start a StarWars mod team for Stellaris? ...aww who am I kidding, DAC is the last modding team keeping the TATW campaign scene alive. I've put 1000+ hours into various TATW sub mods since 2013. almost the entirety of which has been put into DAC

I like all your stuff. I find your commentary very enjoyable. I always come back to your videos. My critique... you flip-flop on what you play. There’s been Angmar over and over again. Where’s Skyrim? Khand?
5 жыл бұрын
Angmar and Khand alternate each week. It has been that way for months. Skyrim is one per week the last was published two days ago. The flip flopping is a valid concern but your evidence is flawed.

If you're uncertain about making those "news cast from the last month" videos about a Stellaris playthrough, why not practice and make one of such videos about your Khand or Angmar playthrough? Would help to get a feel for writing it and actually seeing it play out.
