Konstantin will not see this, but I hope someone has conveyed a similar message to him already. I recently viewed the latest Holberg debate and was impressed by individuals like Konstantin who exhibit not only courage but also considerable mental resilience and emotional control. The other panelists fail to recognize that what they consider compassion/pluralism/utopia is often just cowardice disguised as virtue. Watching the debate conclude, I've come to believe that perhaps an outsider's perspective, like that of an immigrant such as Konstantin, is essential for safeguarding the values that European forefathers fought for-values that seem to be overlooked by their descendants. I live in EU as an immigrant and hope i can help my friends join Konstantin defend these values.

I watched the debate. It was pain. The guy went instantly into "muh colonialism and slavery", lady went into "privilege" and identity politics the moment she saw an opening. The moment Konstantin said something self-evidently true, like that the world of geopolitics is a competitive one, they acted offended as if he endorsed something evil, rather than simply describing reality. Those people are the perfect example of why the West is in decline: The ruthless criticism of everything that is, but only if it's the West. The refusal to accept basic facts of the world because they might be "mean". The holier than thou attitude, while at the same time bitching about everything.

Find a group of people who do not go along with getting down and depressed when the external conditions are bad…..this is life as a human…sometimes we have golden ages and sometimes there are very poor and dangerous leaders who cause all the things we witness in the world today….but there are small sections who look inwards towards making their minds so strong that eventually, with dedication, nothing is a problem for them and they are not only at peace everywhere but can also teach this peace to those who are interested. Their minds are so clear that they see solutions if a solution is possible and care for the suffering people but do not suffer themselves on account of it.

I was in London a few weeks ago and it felt tired. Tatty, run down, graffiti strewn, and out of steam. The underground felt pretty Soviet, ancient rolling stock, stations that felt neglected. I ventured out into the SE suburbs to visit friends, and it was beyond depressing. Vacant pubs with boarded up windows, sometimes I never saw an English person. Everyone had that 1000 yard stare of distrust, suspicion and fear. Mostly the landmarks we associate with London felt like the ruins of Rome or Istanbul, survivors of a forgotten time long ago whose only function now is as the backdrop to a selfie. London didn't feel dynamic, it felt sad and abandoned.

I recommend listening to the full session with the other speakers. They are more or less the embodiment of the issues we’re having in the west. - Self flogging mentality. The ills of the world are our fault and now we must diminish and put more non-westerners in power. - Wilful ignorance of how geopolitics work. Failure to acknowledge that the there are non-western players that are ready to force their ideologies and interests if the west falls. Geopolitics is competitive by design. And it’s not a bad thing. Just how the world works. - A belief that Yanis mentioned earlier: “the west is at its peak”. The US is still the global power, but its strength is diminishing. Europe has economic strength, but is unwilling to fight for its principals and lacks military might. Both Europe and the US lack China’s and Russia’s determination and deterrence. Both are terrified of being the “bad guy”.
@williammkydde7 сағат бұрын

I used to hear my parents talking about just how bad Britain was in the 70's. So in a broad term, we've potentially gone back 50 years to a time where everything is going to shite and labour is in power... doing everything in it's power to make things worse. Harold Wilso and James Callaghan really did a number on our country and we were fully in the grips of the unions. I hope we don't go back to a facimile of those times, as to hear my parents talk about it, they were tough times.
