Owning KO would be nice but it's out of range. So looking for quality dividend stocks that are under $10 and try to get as many shares possible, so 1 share of KO at $50 would = to 5 shares of a $10 stock.

@@0n1r0t very good point. I used KO as only an example people could relate to but as I mentioned in video I don’t recommend as financial advice. Research is King and I’d say Long term growth is Queen 😃

I like how you did a worse case scenario with the KO dividend, so that it shows just how easily you can earn income and that’s only the tip of the iceberg of what you could earn. Thank you so much!!

Again, fml, should have been a class when I was in high school for this. Ahhhhhh. Thankfully at 44, even after teaching overseas for a few years, my SS appears that it will be about $1500 a month and growing based on their website. I put $6000 annually into my roth ira, though i started it late, and I just started my dividend snowball last year. Combine it and it's worth the effort. The thing that scared me and still kinda does is the price fluctuation of the stock. I think it would be good to make a video about how to understand and overcome stock price fluctuation anxiety. I just bought $600 of QYLD and minutes later it was down $5 but I understood it will fluctuate some and pay out about $6 a month. I have other dividend stocks too to diversify. I think the anxiety is the real challenge, not the $ itself.

You are right! It's always the scary point of "what happens if". So i've found it easier to stay focused and consistent on the plan, regardless of the price or market fluctuations.

4:00 I literally said “I LOVE YOU!” When you used 5% interest as your assumed rate of return! I hate when people assume 8% or higher in their examples?!? Like what no. Assume bad returns and hope and pray for better. Make the plan based around it not being Rosie.

@@BobSharpe im 26 and starting now I tried webull, just too complicated for me, liquidating and moving to robinhood for good, i like how it automatically reinvests the dividends on there and you can buy fractions of shares. Hopefully their still in business in 40 years

I agree on Robinhood making it easy, even if they aren’t in business (I doubt they plan on going anywhere though), you can always transfer your account at that point

Share prices increasing (5% - > 10%) would be a bad thing as a dividend investor. Meaning you would be able buy less shares with the same money. Did the spreadsheet factor this in?

Definitely start with what you can! Do your research or consult a financial advisor (I can't give financial advice). A good pointer for research is in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJ6tp56ZdsuApc0 Enjoy!

Don’t waste your money and time with a financial adviser! Everything is free on-line. Start investing in dividend paying stocks. Google dividend aristocrats and dividend kings and start with those and watch the compounding wealth begin! Don’t mess around with penny stocks!
