I love the overall message of the video. However if you are starting with a small amount of money like one thousand please do not diversify with 20 different stocks you will lower your returns to pretty much nothing unless they all go up. At most pick 5 good stocks that are in different sectors. Diversification is a strategy to protect your money not grow it.... when you have over 100K invested then diversification is great but not when you start off...

Not exactly. Any index fund (like VUSA S&P500) will be significantly diversified across the largest companies, and still produce healthy returns. The amateur investor is likely to make pitiful returns on their own portfolio.

Most experienced traders like Mr Elvis Hercules, would prefer to get the proper skills to analyze price charts in order to make their own trading decisions, but many traders, especially amateur traders, are still wondering really whether they accelerate their successful trading using only signaling services, don't get me wrong. Greetings mate, this is Very Insightful content However personally I feel, those who would allow the market dynamism determine when to trade or not are either new in stocks / crypto currency world in general or probably just naive, stocks and crypto currencies have seen far worse times than this , Enlightened traders continue to make good use of the dip and pump even acquiring more equities towards trading sessions. I know doing Technical Analysis can be quite difficult which is why most newbies / traders neglect day trading their coins and stick to Hodling which is very dangerous as when the market goes bearish, they loose their investment. 'The strongly advise any newbie / traders to buy the dip and seek help from not just any trader but an established trading expert with at least 89% trade accuracy. I underwent series of trading loses'd best not talk about before l was introduced to trading analyst Mr.Elvis Hercules My contact with him has been the Hallmark of this year for me, under his careful guide and his signal service I've been able to recover my losses and even grow my trading portfolio massively from 13k to 50k in just 5 weeks. I wil | advice traders esp newbies to have orientation of trading before they involve in it. Mr. Elvis makes you learn daily while you make profit with his signals. You could have 2 companies, both showing 20Mil Net income, but one reinvested 80Mil into the company over the course of the year and issued 20Mil in dividends showing 100% DPR while the other company could have issued 10Mil in Dividends while only reinvesting 5Mil over the year, showing 50% DPR. Most experienced traders like Mr Elvis Hercules, would prefer to get the proper skills to analyze price charts in order to make their own trading decisions, but many traders, especially amateur traders, are still wondering really whether they accelerate their successful trading using only signaling services, don't get me wrong. Signals are good, especially if you find the right one, but it would also be wise if traders can analyze price charts positively and accurately and good trading results. If we take a close look at some of the main reasons people cannot make money investing / trading online. whether it is trading stocks, binary options, forex or cryptocurrencies, you will find that the problem is that traders are lazy and too dependent on signaling services, and also do not understand the trade before starting it. So just in case it is best if traders, especially those who are still learning and practicing trading, should know these tips before entering any online investment scheme: 1. Use a signaling service. ... 2. Learn to use technical indicators. . 3. Trade stocks before trading binary options trading security. .. 5. Buy options of the right length for your trading style. For additional tips and trading strategies that can bring you $ 20-40 thousand per 4. Track your performance for each option month, contact him by mail, as He is ready to show interested traders, both beginners and professionals, how to trade with confidence and achieve success. .. and amateurs how to trade confidently and make good profits using strategies that fetches $ 20k$ 60k per month. elvishercules48@gmail.com))

I've been thinking about opening up a m1 finance account for awhile now. And have been considering on a investment portfolio of for example. 60% VTI for growth and 30% VYM for Income and 10% BND or the short term version of BND. What are your thoughts on this portfolio? And how would I go about researching to find out what would be good or bad?

Hello Humphrey, I really enjoyed reading your blogs on Dividend Investing. What do you think about DRIP. I have not tried it, but want to give it a try. I think one has to pay taxes for the dividends because it is treated as Income, but I am not sure. Please give your thoughts on this. Thanks.

New to this and just learning. But from my understanding I thought you had to buy a whole stock and weren’t able to buy partial, but according to your chart you own a lot of partial stocks. How does that work? Is this through a fund versus buying stocks?

@humphrey

Yeah this is a tough one. If it really makes me feel a certain way morally, I will not support it obviously. Otherwise though, I try to be less attached emotionally to my investments, but I definitely understand the concern you may have when investing in certain companies that might be ethically not the best choices out there. I view it the same as not eating meat I suppose. If I felt really strongly about not eating meat, I wouldn't consume it. It's not exactly the same per se, but I hope that helps

My concern is that unless your broker charges no commission on buying stocks, the cost of buying a stock at less than one share is not really worth it. For dividend stocks, my recommendation is to only buy stocks where you have enough capital to purchase at least 100 shares. Otherwise the cost will likely exceed any profit you gain from buying those dividend stocks.
