“For Isaiah did not send you to a bath, there to wash away murder and other sins, which not even all the water of the sea were sufficient to purge; but, as might have been expected, this was that saving bath of the olden time which FOLLOWED THOSE who repented, and who no longer were purified by the blood of goats and of sheep, or by the ashes of an heifer, or by the offerings of fine flour, but BY FAITH through the blood of Christ, and through His death, who died for this very reason, as Isaiah himself said, when he spoke thus:” (Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho, 13) As Justin plainly states, we are not sent to a bath, but by faith to the blood of Christ for our purification.

In Justin's apology? If so is this what you're referring to? : "when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons"

"No mention of circumcision being associated with baptism" 2 chapters later... "And we, who have approached God through Him, have received not carnal, but spiritual circumcision, which Enoch and those like him observed. And we have received it through baptism, since we were sinners, by God's mercy; and all men may equally obtain it." "No mention of Sacerdotal priesthood" FIrst Apology... "Then someone brings bread and a cup of water and wine mixed together to him who presides over the brethren. He takes them and offers praise and glory to the Father of the universe, through the name of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and for a considerable time he gives thanks (in Greek: eucharistian) that we have been judged worthy of these gifts. When he has concluded the prayers and thanksgivings, all present give voice to an acclamation by saying: 'Amen.' When he who presides has given thanks and the people have responded, those whom we call deacons give to those present the "eucharisted" bread, wine and water and take them to those who are absent." I wonder who "Presides over the brethren" lol.

Seems to me he thoroughly refuted Trent's argument. I'm not sure how you can say he didn't address the Justin quote either. That is literally what the entire video is about. He built a foundation and addressed the issues. It seems like you only listened to a very little bit of the video rather the the entire thing. Or, you completely ignored the context. It would benefit you to listen to the entire thing and think critically. Also, if you have been watching his previous videos where he discusses Trent's presentation, you would know there is more context that this discussion is taking place in. Most importantly though, and this is in one of the first videos Dr. White did, protestants don't have to look back in history and see people who looked exactly like them. We understand that there has been good teaching and error throughout all of church history, as there is now (I think you would even admit this about your current Pope). That is why sola scriptura and a consistent biblical hermeneutic (I would say a reformed hermeneutic) is so important, so you have a standard to test teaching against. Traditions and the church fathers can be very helpful, but they are not infallible, they must be put up against God's holy and inspired word. You may say Pope or "the church" as a standard, but there is no consistency there. There are currently two living Popes that could not be any more different. That is the biggest issue with Rome as well, they teach their adherents that this is what "the church" has ALWAYS believed, so you are forced to read all church history in an anachronistic manner. The issue is though you can literally read massive differences between the modern roman church and Christians throughout the century's. The priesthood and mass sacrifice are addressed in this video on that very point. The gospel is repenting and believing in Jesus, that is what it ALWAYS has been. It is not a sacerdotal sacramental system in which you have to earn merit or require Mary as a mediator (among other errors from Rome). Those were all later developments that are provable. Friend, the roman system gives you no peace with God, when the Bible tells us that is exactly what Jesus' once for a sacrifice accomplished. Stop praying to created beings, stop putting your faith in an institution and sinful men. Put you faith in the cross of Christ and be covered by his blood for the forgiveness of sins. Grace cannot be earned, only given, through faith alone granted by God. The good works follow afterwards.

@@retrograd332 James White BLATANTLY lied here. He said that Justin Martyr makes no reference to a ministerial priesthood in relation to the Eucharist. He does, in chapter 65 of the First Apology. @@luissalazar6960 The Trinity is found quite expressely in the Scripture which was all written in the first century (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Corinthians 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 Peter 1:2 and Revelation 1:4-5., etc). The reason a "definition" was formulated later was because of heretics coming in and denying the Trinity.
