At first I saw Healing Hands and started rolling my eyes already... not another Healing Hands "Forge Guard". But luckily I stuck around. I was actually interested in this interaction but never had the time to invest into something possibly awful as Forge Guard is often memed on. So thanks for showing it off. I think for higher corruption you could actually push pretty far by turning this into a Vessel setup seeing as you get a massive 60 flat health regen from the helmet. Might have to drop the chest piece for that though to get enough places with intelligence for your ward retention. Definitely some interesting options for optimization there.

You nailed it. And your welcome for showing it! The stats are there, just need someone with enough drive to make the build what it's supposed to be. I was genuinely happy that FG could do empowered monos.

Not about that life of stealing other builds. Hopefully FG will get an update in 1.1, Mike from EHG mentioned they are aware the mastery tree isn't as they would like so hopefully good things in the future!

Love your builds! I've been struggling to find something that worked and was fun to play on FG. I can't even test this build out at 100 corruption because stuff dies to the multistrikes, so guess I've gotta raise corruption on FG. I did slam the boots with teleport minions on traversal and +movespeed, to guarantee I heal some minions each time and reduce CD. Will see if that puts the swords in bad too much.

Thank you for the kind words! If you can't test out 100 corruption yet because Multistrike kills everything then I think you're doing it correctly!!

@@Andrue2TV I've been bouncing around on different classes so far, up to ~600 corruption. Spellblade and marksman to level 100, and another 5 at 80-90. Forge Guard was the first one I tried because I love the concept, but then spellblade was so much more powerful, and jelkhor marksman was just ridiculous. Pushed corruption with marksman until I got bored to death, since all bosses were dying in 5 seconds and it's just a 1 button explosive machine gun. For FG, I've always resisted using all 3 set pieces, and avoided smelter's wrath for how clunky the channel was. I think I'm gonna stick to FG now for rest of cycle to see how far I can go on it. I would say the teleport minions affix is mandatory for me though... healing hands is on a 2 second CD almost all the time. Mapping is very fast just zipping from pack to pack, with 1 multistrike and 1 forge strike before moving to the next. Farming for a higher LP maehlins and some t7 area for area skills to speed up smelter's cast time now.

i wonder if the boots that transport minions when you use a traversal skill work on those stationary weapons and if so are they there in time to be healed by healing hands reducing its cooldown.

Unfortunately, like every Forge Guard played actually as a Forge Guard, it wont be able to do higher corruption+bossing wont be easy too. But thanks for that guide and its always nice to see that the FG gets some love, it deserves as much as it deserves a proper buff.

I agree! Forge Guard isn't really in a good spot right now, the Mastery bonus could be incredibly better, but alas it is not as good as most builds. I am still very happy that this is a VIABLE build for people who want to invest into Forge Guard. Hopefully EHG can implement some love for the Guard!

What is the max corruption u pushed with forge guard

@@okultism Before 1.0 mine was around 400 as a Forged Weapons build heavily invested in endurance/endurance threshold. Since 1.0 im struggling in about 300 and without the use of ward through healing hands, it wont be even possible. T4 Julra is quite a pain in the ass and takes really too long to say its fun. In this build one you could also squeeze more endurance+threshold on rings sacrifing some resistances and of course get more life with more lp on gloves and boots. The Hammer and Anvil node can also be an option but would mean to sacrifice a good bunch of damage, making it slower. Like i said, with what the FG passive tree is giving us, its really hard to make a full FG viable for all content and high curroption. Lets hope EHG will buff it at least through some uniques like it was said in the last dev chat. But all in all, this build is hell of a fun at low curroption and makes the best use of the Sunforged set, and is a glimpse of how a FG should be played, an obliterating, clunky, kind of mechanical tank. That being said the Forge Guard is still my favorite mastery and fuck meta builds!

YES! I agree!! I have been actively scouring the web for low number of builds and actively trying to make builds that are fun and easy to play. Appreciate the info and look forward to creating more builds.

It's beautiful, charging a nuke is way more fun than reversal spamming for attack/cast speed

Agreed!! I have grown to dislike the reversal spam. Ultimately, it usually leads to my death because I have a hard time remembering where I was 4 sec ago... Thanks for the input!

u ever thought of taking the experimental minion teleport on traversal skill so ur unmoving swords can move and do dmg

@@1brianyaffa yes but i think it is better to have them alive rather than dead. At the time my minions would get killed very easy and i chose the talent that makes them immobile for the fact that you cannot outrange your minions and still get the benefit of the damage. Unfortunately Forge Guard gets very minimal minion passives so i do not rely on them for damage

In order to maximize the damage output of your Forge Strike and Smelter's Wrath, you need to have all 15 forged weapons up at once. The best way to do this is the nodes that cause them to stay in place, that way, enemies do not target the weapons instead you just gain all the damage with no management.

You know it is funny. I was just sitting here thinking to myself "You know the only issue with Forge Knight is its minions aren't persistent and having them all up and running is a requirement to do decent damage and clear" then you go and say basically the same thing as 1:42 in. LOL.

you are loosing a lot of dmg with that shity set 2hand axe, you should swap to apathys maw and it will give much higher DPS. 2 set parts from main armor and helmet is enough, but deffo try other weapons as that one is sh1t

The weapon gives all of the bonuses to make Smelter's Wrath and Forge Strike do much more damage. Apathy's Maw is a really good item but this build was more to achieve a goal of mine, which was to make Forge Guard somewhat viable in Emp Monos.
